Palmer debuted in a cameo at the beginning of ''[[M12|Arceus and the Jewel of Life]]'', where he battled {{an|Cynthia}}. He made his main series debut in ''[[DP140|Historical Mystery Tour!]]'', where he met up with his son {{an|Barry}}.
