Toshihiro Ono
Toshihiro Ono (小野 敏洋 Ono Toshihiro), born February 27, 1965, is the creator of the manga Electric Tale of Pikachu. He also wrote and illustrated the Pokémon Tales book Pikachu's Unparalleled Adventure and illustrated the manga adaptation of Mewtwo Strikes Back.
Aside from his work with Pokémon, he also illustrated the first two volumes of the Crest of the Stars manga trilogy. He also writes hentai under a different pen name.
Electric Tale of Pikachu interview with Animerica
Around 1999, Ono had an interview with Animerica, an American magazine dedicated to anime. They asked him mostly about Electric Tale of Pikachu and its upcoming final volume. Some of the questions were focusing more on his career as a writer than his personal life. Eventually the question of his illustrations came along. Ono replied with, "I have had to change most of my artwork for it to get into America."
