Trivia

  • Tornadus is the first and so far only pure Flying-type Pokémon. However, other Pokémon were able to become pure Flying-types through their abilities, such as Kecleon and Arceus.
    • This also makes him the only purely typed Pokémon with a unique type combination.
  • Tornadus and Thundurus have identical base stat distribution.
  • Tornadus is the only Generation V legendary Pokémon with only one type.
  • When Tornadus appears on Route 7, Thundurus's cry is heard.
  • Tornadus is the last single-type Pokémon and the last green Pokémon in National Dex order.
  • Tornadus is the name of a one-time appearance planet on the TV show Futurama.

Origin

Tornadus is based on Fūjin, the kami of wind.
