Tokio (Japanese: トキオ Tokio) is a main character and Akira's rival in the manga series Pokémon Horizon. His goal is to take over the world after being left alone in the darkness.
History
Tokio appears for the first time in PH03, saving Akira and Mana from a huge wild Pangoro. Combining the attacks of his Type: Null and Jangmo-o, he easily defeats his opponent.
Initially appearing to be a friendly person, Tokio decides to battle with Akira, using Jangmo-o he is defeated. This defeat makes him show his true nature, which also affects his Pokémon during the match. Akira manages to defeat Tokio but not before delivering a violent blow to his own Pokémon, defeated he leaves abandoning Jangmo-o.
Tokio reappears again in PH05 talking to a mysterious person.
In PH07, Tokio watches from a distance Akira's battle against Napu, as soon as Akira wins Tokio appears provoking his rival.

Type: Null is Tokio's first known Pokémon. It's also the Tokio's main Pokémon, it appears for the first time fighting against a Pangoro next to its trainer. When Tokio shows his violent nature, Type: Null copies the actions of his trainer, attacking a Pokémon injured in battle.
Since then, he has almost always been with Tokio. When Tokio joins Akira and Mana to battle Team Kings, Type: Null joins forces with Akira's Lycanroc and Mana's Decidueye. During the final confrontation against Meja and during a violent battle against Meja's Pokémon, Type: Null evolves in Silvally as Tokio's last resort against Meja's Incineroar. Finally when all the crisis is resolved, and with Tokio enraged, Akira and Tokio use their Pokémon in a definitive battle. Silvally is finally defeated after the perfect match between Akira and Lycanroc with the Pokémon Wolf's Z-Move. When Tokio realizes his actions and returns to himself, he reconciles with his Pokémon. | ||

Jangmo-o is Tokio's second known Pokémon.is used in a Pokémon battle against Akira's Rockruff, but is defeated after a tough battle. When Tokio releases its true nature, the Dragon Pokémon is out of control, but once again it is defeated. At the end of the battle, Tokio decides to abandon him, which makes Akira furious.
Before that, Tokio orders Type: Null to attack the little Pokémon which throws him away with a blow that seriously hurts him. | ||
