Edit Request

Please add key item. I'd do it myself, but obviously it's protected. And, uh, I may have more requests as I scour the item articles. Bear with me on this, thanks. — THE TROM — 09:33, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Now I'm thinking maybe we should expand to include all item types such as valuable item, drink, etc. These articles don't have any kind of templating at the bottom of their page. — THE TROM — 10:58, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
No one's listening.... oh well. Can we at least change the category to "Item navigation templates" and remove the "in multiple games header". Why is this even protected? It doesn't seem a target for vandalism; it's only on two pages. I strongly oppose protection for the reason "I don't want non-admins editing" which is what this seems like. — THE TROM — 06:21, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Makes sense to me. Done. As for the protection, 'Deth is the one who did that; I'd suggest asking him about it. I don't like to act without the others' input. --Marton(I'm Jewish)imos 10:00, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
Awesome, thanks. I hate to whine about this, but if we don't unprotect could someone add event item to the template as well? Ta muchly. — THE TROM — 09:50, 29 December 2008 (UTC)

...

Where do the flutes and shards belong? ht14 04:29, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Notice that plates aren't on here. No need to put everything... you can get there... TTEchidna 04:46, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Then I don't quite understand the purpose of this template. If it's only a few items here and there anyway... ht14 04:49, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Well, the plates are in {{Held}}... ht14 04:50, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Minor innacuracy

Repel and Revive are now individual item pages rather than the broader, categorical pages they used to be, they don't really fit with the rest of the links on this template as a result. Unlike the other item page splits that have been happening recently, these two don't seem to have kept their original pages anywhere. Not sure what the best solution here is, maybe move them to (item) pages and restore the categorical articles? Potion may have this problem too if/when its contents are split out.--Cold (talk) 00:31, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Possible Solution to above minor innacuracy, plus other inaccuracies

After going through every item, it seems like the Medicine category can be highly Simplified. The current setup has the following links:

Potions • Status condition healing items • Revives • PP-restoring items • Vitamins • Wings • Drinks • Herbal medicine • Ability Capsule

This setup does work, but it causes Revives to only contain Revive and Max Revive, as not desired above. Since it seems likely that these items will not be re-added to a single page (see Potions), my suggestion is to combine items down into the following links:

Status condition healing items • Revival Items • PP-restoring items • HP-restoring items • Vitamins • Wings • Ability Capsule

All these pages already exist, and it would allow the Revives category to be removed entirely. The only side effects would be that Herbal Medicine would be not used on the template, which I consider an improvement (you can decide whether it should be dissolved entirely or not), and that the Leppa Berry would be included in Medicine (My suggestion is to make a separate category for PP-restoring Berries, like Oran & Sitrus have for HP. Not the most desirable outcome, but better than the current). --13akoors (talk) 06:18, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
