Why do we have this? It has always worked. The accepted practice was...

1 line
two
three
four
five
six
seven
eight
nine
ten
eleven starts over at one. We don't need a warning for it, and it is not what we are supposed to do. What I demonstrated above is what we are supposed to do. MaverickNate 00:14, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
There is no rule as to how indenting works. After 7 indents, I start over with no indents because that's my preference. Therefore, this template is useful for me. Chocolate((Talk to Me|Look at My Contributions)) 00:15, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
Okay, just as long as I don't have to use it. MaverickNate 00:16, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Protection

Can someone please protect this template? --Cinday123 (Talk) 03:08, 6 April 2014 (UTC)

Redundancy

I am thinking that this template is being redundant, because it is easy to type <small>(resetting indent)</small> (the code of this template). Yeah, typing {{indent}} may save bytes than typing the whole code, but it is still redundant. I am thinking of this being deleted or making this a substitution template. Protection?

It seems strange to me that this template, used all over the wiki, isn't protected. Is there a reason for this? If not, I'd recommend protecting it. --Felthry (talk) 18:01, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
