This is based on personal experiments. A Zubat that is caught in the Cave of Origin in Pokemon Sapphire or Ruby that is exactly 2'7" tall and weighs 17 pounds will be black. It counts as shiny, appearing with the sparkle effect. When transferred to a 4th gen game, it turns green like a normal shiny.
