Criticism from Pokémon Fans?

I was wondering, could it be possible to make a section called "Criticism"? Yeah, I know this section will probably be deleted, and I will possibly face consequences, but it's worth a shot. TheBlazikenMaster 23:29, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Criticism in general, or, as your title indicates, criticism from the fandom? If the latter, what kind of criticism are you thinking about? --Marton(I'm Jewish)imos 23:48, 25 December 2008 (UTC)
I mean a section that explains how the Wii can be unhealthy and delusional. TheBlazikenMaster 03:16, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
...unhealthy and delusional. Um. Source? --Marton(I'm Jewish)imos 07:50, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
I knew someone would ask for something like that, so it won't surprise me if someone decided to get rid of this section. This discussion is obviously getting us nowhere, I have better luck making a YouTube video questioning the Wii. Yeah, that's what I'm going to do somewhere next year. TheBlazikenMaster 12:39, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
Have fun. Unhealthy and delusional... huh. That's a first. --Marton(I'm Jewish)imos 18:18, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

whats wrong

uh... the bad picture notice is for which pic??? and all those pics seem okay to me. --Usyflad10 19:42, 24 July 2009 (UTC)

Just wondering...

How come the page is called Wii and not Nintendo Wii? The DS is called Nintendo DS? --Juzey!! (Talk) 15:18, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

That would be because the official names are the Wii and the Nintendo DS. (Shown by several uses of their names on the official Nintendo website, including the actual console section headers.) Nytik 15:23, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Ok, thanks. If I was them I woudn't do that but, well, it's up to them!--Juzey!! (Talk) 15:48, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Nintendo Channel

"The Nintendo Channel rarely updates, mostly every week"

How does the channel rarely update when it updates every week? If it updated once a month, THEN it would be rarely, but since it updates every week...... Shiramu Kuromu 01:36, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Oh right. Sorry. I'll edit it right now. Pokedex493 01:38, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

Moving Nintendo Channel and Wii Shop Channel

I could move both of them to be a User page of mine. Pokedex493 02:51, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, you could probably just make them in your userspace, as we were planning on just merging them into Wii anyway. --SnorlaxMonster 03:36, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Should we reach an agreement first or should I move it right now? Pokedex493 03:42, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Wii Shop Channel can be done now because it has been discussed enough and has been up for a while. This one should probably be left for now. --SnorlaxMonster 03:43, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay. I'll let you know when it's moved. Pokedex493 03:45, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
SnorlaxMonster, you'll have to do it because it won't let me because I am blocked from editing my Userspace. Pokedex493 03:50, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Since you are blocked from editing your userspace, I don't think this should be moved there. --SnorlaxMonster 04:05, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay. But if it's not moved by the time I get unblocked, can I move it then? Pokedex493 04:10, 28 December 2010 (UTC)
When you are unblocked, we can deal with this. --SnorlaxMonster 04:14, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

Alright. Pokedex493 04:15, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

The delete tag should not be on here until it's been merged. It is notable... it just seems like the location if a problem. As in, it should be merged. IIRC, we have a notice for that. --P o L i 19:04, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Wii Shop Channel

This page can simply be put on the Wii's article instead of making this page. All it does is list. --CoolPikachu! 02:05, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

I agree that we could just merge this into Wii. It would be much nicer than this. Same goes for Nintendo Channel—neither really has much to do with Pokémon. --SnorlaxMonster 02:12, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
The Nintendo Channel has a lot to do with Pokémon. It tells a lot about it, have any of you ever been on the Nintendo Channel? I don't think the Nintendo Channel should be merged with the Wii article, but I see now that the Wii Shop Channel should be moved to the Wii article. Pokedex493 02:25, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
I have been on the Nintendo channel. There are advertisements and DS demos. There is also a game rating system. It isn't very related to Pokémon at all. It belongs with Wii. And making an article for the Wii Shop Channel is almost like making an article for GameStop. --SnorlaxMonster 02:30, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Two things, SnorlaxMonster. One, what advertisements are you talking about? And two, you saw my GameStop broken link? Pokedex493 02:40, 21 December 2010 (UTC)

nintendo_channel_sept_09_usa_update.jpg

When you open the Nintendo Channel, the whole thing is just 6 ads for Nintendo things that you can click on to watch, with a few buttons along the bottom of the screen. The whole channel is focused on those ads, which you can use left and right go through the pages of them. And no, I did not see your GameStop link; we are not having articles about all the game vendors, they can go into the Project Globe articles. --SnorlaxMonster 06:15, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
I'm chiming in with "I don't think this is necessary" and "can I delete this now?" --ZestyCactus 06:37, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Fine. I'll move them since I made them. Pokedex493 23:36, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Okay, this isn't making sense. First, you guys want to merge Nintendo Channel with this article... but now you also what to delete this and merge it with Wii? That's an awful lot of additional information for an already long article. I'm going to overrule all of you and say that this article stays put. If you like, you can merge Nintendo Channel with it, but if it's cleaned up, I see no reason why this isn't solid, notable content. --P o L i 19:08, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
You misinterpreted the comments here; it was always suggested to merge this into Wii, and it was suggested to do the same with Nintendo Channel. These two channels aren't really related enough the justify having a joint article other than in Wii. After cleaning up this page, I found that the only content it has that Wii doesn't already is the prices of the games, one piece of barely notable trivia (and you could argue that the intro counts). The only thing that was deleted was the list of channels, which is not related to Pokémon. It would have very little impact on the size of the Wii article.
In addition, you cannot simply overrule a whole bunch of users discussing a merge/deletion on a talk page. The tag means that it is suggested, not that it has been decided. --SnorlaxMonster 11:53, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

Prices no listed

I came to this page hoping it would list the current (and previous) prices in us dollar and japanese yen, but it doesn't. Shouldn't that info be listed?

I know the Wii started off at $249.99/¥25K at launch and dropped to $199.99/¥20K in Sep 30/October 1 2009, and the current US price is $129.99 for a new Wii, but I can't seem to find the current price in Japan. I know its been discontinued, but it would still help to know the price for both a project I am working on and perhaps to further complete the article. Yamitora1 (talk) 20:36, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
