:::I listened to both of the sounds myself one right after the other, and the two sound nothing alike. Water Gun could possibly be a Generation I sound, but it is definitely not Hydro Pump. Even if it were, I don't think it would be notable. It's resourceful to reuse sound effects, and it's not like it's 100% the same sound. The Gen V Water Gun uses a bunch of noises at the same time.
