Is it really necessary to mention a band which has no relation to the pokémon Volbeat other than in name in the Trivia section? Draconium 20:42, 29 June 2010 (UTC)

Do you know any other bands that share the same name as other Pokemon? Even if they don't have any relation to each other, it's still interesting to note. --Jonouchi 03:53, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
The band didn't even name themselves after the Pokémon. It's more or less just pure coincidence, I don't think it should be noted. Rai Marshall 03:55, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Sometimes coincidences can be valid trivia, depending on how big or unusual said coincidence is. I think the stated trivia is fine. --AndyPKMN 12:01, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Evolution Section

Since Volbeat can be bred from Illumise, should the evolution box be changed to something similar to this? The Ditto would need to be removed though:

Does not evolve
Volbeat
 Bug

Breed
with Ditto

Parent
Illumise
 Bug

I had planned it out for Volbeat and the Nidos at one point, some of the higher-ups didn't approve of it at the time though.--MisterE13 01:04, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

I've made a newer template (yes I know this is an old discussion):

Breed

Illumise

Does not evolve
Illumise
 Bug
Breed

Illumise
or breed Volbeat with

Ditto

Does not evolve
Volbeat
 Bug

exp.

Volbeat needs the lowest amount of exp. to reach lv. 100 possible, but Illumise needs the highest amount of exp. to reach lv. 100 possible. Something unique? Nickvang 16:53 10 july 2011

Shiny

I've noticed that Volbeat's Shiny version looks like the Elite Fighter Fly from ML:SSS, which is the regular Fighter Fly's old colors. Should we put this in trivia? Jdrawer 11:25, 26 March 2012 (UTC)

Uhh... (somewhat off topic)

I was playing PMD: Time when I saw a job with [something like] this as the description:

"My bodyguard, Volbeat, has gone missing! She must be saved! Please help her!"

Should something like this be mentioned as trivia? --Mathfreak231 (talk) 00:04, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Could you show us a picture as evidence? That is quite unusual. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:20, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

fixed an error

Im pretty sure this was an error: the article stated that in Gen V, a Volbeat bred with a ditto could producr a Nidoran F. I changed this to Illumise. Moffooo (talk) 20:06, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

Volbeat's wings

Because Volbeat has small wings, could someone add it to the biology section or is it already there? --Cinday123 (Talk) 02:19, 16 March 2014 (UTC)

Volbeat naming

So it turns out Volbeat is the name of a Danish heavy metal band, something interesting since the pokemon Volbeat is musical in nature. Said band started in 2001, here is the wikipedia page: [1] Lycos Ex Mortis (talk) 04:44, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Opinion and highly unlikely.--ForceFire 05:01, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
What, exactly, is highly unlikely? I merely found it interesting, and thought it'd be nice to share.--Lycos Ex Mortis (talk) 07:12, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Volbeat name conundrum mark II

Seriously, why do the band references keep getting removed? Yes, it's not strictly Pokemon-related, but tons of people seem to wonder, and when this many people go to the trouble of adding it to the article(I literally created an account just for that purpose, and only noticed all this discussion and edit-reversion history afterwards), one would think a one-sentence answer to the question so many people have would be relevant. Alsadius (talk) 12:20, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

Again, opinion and highly unlikely seeing as the Pokémon came after the band, so it is most likely just a coincidence. And just because other people have wondered the same does not mean it makes it more notable.--ForceFire 12:46, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
