:My guess is that "vi" comes from "vibration" (as it vibrates its wings while flying) or "vizor" (its eyes are vizor-like and ties with spaceship inspiration) and "ka" comes from "cable" (its legs look like power cables and ties with it plugging them into Charjabug). --Vladimirescu (talk) 17:24, 14 July 2016 (UTC) | :My guess is that "vi" comes from "vibration" (as it vibrates its wings while flying) or "vizor" (its eyes are vizor-like and ties with spaceship inspiration) and "ka" comes from "cable" (its legs look like power cables and ties with it plugging them into Charjabug). --Vladimirescu (talk) 17:24, 14 July 2016 (UTC)
:Whoever suggested "wicga" from Old English as the origin doesn't know what they're talking about. The "cg" digraph in Old English is pronounced with a hard "j" sound, or "dg", like in "bridge", so "wicga" is nothing like "vika", it's more like "widga", and is the source of "wig" in "earwig".
"Vika" is Finnish for bug, so that could be where it comes from. Logo7 (talk) 00:42, 20 July 2016 (UTC) | "Vika" is Finnish for bug, so that could be where it comes from. Logo7 (talk) 00:42, 20 July 2016 (UTC)
: | :"Vika" doesn't mean insect in Finnish, it means "computer bug" or "defect"
