Can the opponent change in HG/SS? ht14 05:32, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Under the Trainers section, between the Gen II trainer and the Gen IV trainer, it says "Cal is the default trainer and is replaced by the last person the player has Mystery Gifted with, including Carrie." Who's Carrie?Morgil27 06:06, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Don't know. Probably someone who the writer of that faced last. Should be removed. Solar Dragon 06:21, 17 November 2009 (UTC)
Carrie is the trainer from Pokémon Stadium 2--ForceFire 07:01, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

HGSS Prize

GSC Prize

I think (but am not entirely certain) that when fighting the last person you Mystery-Gifted with here in Generation II, the amount of money won is equal to the level of your opponent's lowest-leveled Pokémon times 100, with a $100 bonus if that Pokémon is higher level than all of the Pokémon on your team. --Minimiscience 03:19, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Disregard that. After further evidence and after seeing this page, I now believe that the amount won is equal to the level of the last Pokémon in the opponent's party times $100. --Minimiscience 04:56, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Stat exp on opponent teams in gen 2

Did some testing with Mystery Gift on cart and it's pretty clear that DVs are not retained, but I can't find any information out there about whether the Pokémon have stat exp. or not. I'm guessing 'no' with a fair amount of certainty since no other NPC trainers in the game use it afaik, but I'm not certain enough to add it to the article. According to this writeup on the Mystery Gift protocol, in Generation II the only Pokémon data that is sent is the Pokémon's level, species, and moves. --SnorlaxMonster 07:07, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
