I'm confused. The article is not nearly as clear as it should be, and it seems like people are constantly using the term "Celebi Egg Glitch" when they're just referring to making a bad clone... which is not itself the Celebi Egg Glitch, but only a small part of it. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but a "Bad Clone" IS a ?????, ID 000, is it not? And depositing it in the Day Care and then withdrawing it will give you a ?????, ID 255? Assuming that I'm correct, and my bad clone Day Care'd and withdrawn (now with the icon of a Slowpoke) is a ?????, ID 255, why will the "guard" in front of the Time Capsule still not let my Furret through? :As far as I know, the ????? shouldn't have an icon in the menu, and all the pokémon below it should also appear to not be there. However, I don't know for sure that it does that, and that is only a guess based on what I have seen in youtube videos of emulated Gen I games that have Qs and Charizard 'Ms. I haven't seen an actual ?????
