Fishing encounter tables
Staryu does appear in the encounter table for Platinum with Super Rod. It should be 60% Gyarados, 35% Octillery, 5% Staryu (0:Gyarados 1:Octillery 2:Staryu 3:Octillery 4:Octillery). -- Gpm (talk) 12:27, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
Different Staryu level ranges in Platinum version than Diamond/Pearl
Staryu ranges from level 20 to 50 with the Super Rod in Sunyshore City in Platinum version, thus deserves its own Platinum slot, with the difference in level ranges. This has yet still not been fixed. It should look just like the Staryu encounter rates in Canalave City:
