I have updated everything to match the guide book for HG/SS. When merging natures together, the original list did not have full route lists for each nature within the respective family, so the nature with the most routes attached to it was the one I went with. The guide does not touch on Kanto routes at all, so the lists are most likely still not full. Shining Leaf A/B/C/D/E are each found on specific routes, but because I do not have the Kanto information and only Leaf A/B/C information for Johto, I left it for later. When the guide comes out we should make it a little more detailed to include which specific leaf can be found on which set of routes.(Yaminokame 03:35, 12 October 2009 (UTC))

:The footnotes as they are now are not fully correct. Footnote 2 claims that Fire-, Water-, Ground- and Rock-types can't get the Leaf on that specific route. However, I just got the Shining Leaf on route 33, which is marked with footnote 2, with my modest Quilava. Gwannyn 07:34, 30 March 2010 (UTC)

Are you required to fight wild Pokémon in the grass of a route if you want to find a Shiny Leaf there, or can you just use Repels and run around until you get it? --The Great Butler 02:26, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

:You can just use repels and avoid wild encounters- so long as you're in the tall grass, it should work. ▫▪<span style="color:#d93f91;">Ťïňắ</span> <span style="color:#ae41d9;">♫</span><span style="color:#d941cf;">♥</span> 03:04, 4 April 2010 (UTC)

::Actually, you aren't even required to run around; as long as your Pokemon itself is in the tall grass (and you're in the right route for its nature), merely talking to it repeatedly will get you a Shiny Leaf.  No Repels necessary.  Shashakiro 18:02, 12 July 2011 (UTC)

:You know, I totally agree. That and adding which accessories can be found there would be great additions to the route articles. --AndyPKMN (talk) 16:14, 25 November 2010 (UTC)

::If someone could alter the Route Template to include which natures can find the SL, that would help. ----<span style="color:blue">Desukaan563's userpage has a Value Formula to measure Pokémon worth</span> <small>(<span style="color:yellow">talk</span>)</small> 04:17, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
route 44?
In the first nature set, it says route 44 is a place to find a leaf but it has NO grass patches! HELP!!!!
Katara317 00:00, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
:You don't walk in the patches, you just walk with your Pokémon and talk to it until it finds it. Gliscorguy54 00:59, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
::Actually, there is a grassy area on Route 44. It's in the middle of the lake, though, so you have to use Surf to get there. --<font color="#00CCFF">River</font><font color="#00FFCC">Aura</font> 02:35, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
Happiness possibly incorrect
This discussion is related to the following line on the article:
"Pokémon can only find Shiny Leaves when they are happy. If the Pokémon is said to "let out a roar" or "make a face like its angry", its happiness is too low for the Pokémon to find a Shiny Leaf."
This may or may not be debatable to the subject on Shiny Leaves.  My Umbreon is likely at max happiness and already has the Leaf Crown, yet just moments ago refused to turn over something he found and became angry.
The line would hold more truth if it stated that a Pokémon couldn't find a Shiny Leaf while it was returning those responses, but as far as I'm concerned, your Pokémon becoming angry from not wanting to turn over an item doesn't necessarily mean it isn't happy enough to be eligible for finding a Shiny Leaf.
--Zoen 09:22, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
:It seems to just be awkward wording. Because a Pokemon that is said to "let out a roar" for example would be unhappy, but could still have max happiness. But yeah, I agree with you. That needs to be changed because of the awkwardness--Shadowater 06:57, 12 February 2011 (UTC)
::Can somebody just delete that part about the Pokémon having to be happy in order to find a Shiny Leaf? My Houndoom just found a Shiny Leaf on Route 33 and it was quite upset. --<span style="color:navy">☆FiMbUlWiNtEr2O|2☆</span> 04:42, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
:::I deleted it, because my max-happiness Gardevoir just made a face like it was angry, then found a Shiny Leaf soon after.  Someone should confirm whether or not happiness even matters, but I don't believe those particular messages have anything to do with happiness anyway. Shashakiro 17:49, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
:::Confirmed that happiness is irrelevant; a Mewtwo fresh off the GTS, with a happiness of 0, found a Shiny Leaf almost immediately. Shashakiro 18:17, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
