Gender

Isn't Eevee female? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 01:16, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Unless she was stated to be a girl in the episode, don't assume genders. You know this already, you do not need to be re-told about this.--ForceFire 04:47, 26 September 2015 (UTC)
I don't know Japanese, so I couldn't tell if Eevee's gender was told or not when watching XY088. I don't want to cause any trouble about this. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 01:54, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
Nah, I listened in on what Serena and the others referred to Eevee, it was mostly "Konoko" which pretty much translates to "this little one" or something on the lines of that. The dress and eyelash (if you look real closely) on Eevee in the op makes me think it's likely going to be female, but like ForceFire says, unless Serena or someone else specifically says Eevee's gender, then it's official. Or from Cute Charm/Attract on an officially stated opposite gender Pokemon.-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 22:01, 7 October 2015 (UTC)

Guys, Serena literally called Eevee a girl in XY094. I tried to edit her gender in but it got reverted, can a mod do it. This was confirmed by a japanese speaker called Dephender over on Serebii who translates all the summaries, casts lists, and pretty much anything Japanese and is also a mod there so he isn't a random user. RBK (talk) 04:35, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

As I've stated below, I've asked the other admins. --ForceFire 04:39, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

XY094

When Pancham, Quiladin and Chespin were fighting, I think Serena referred to Eevee as a girl. She mentions something about girls (onanoko) hating something (I'm not sure on that part, but since they were fighting I guess Serena was referring to that). --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 18:02, 5 November 2015 (UTC)

Listening to the ep again, Serena said: "Nanbu mune wa yokei onanoko mote nai wa yo!" (the bold words are what I'm not sure of)-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 21:38, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
乱暴者は余計女の子にモテないわよ (about 9 minutes in). Roughly: "If you're violent, you'll be even less liked by girls." In the context, that pretty strongly equates to: Eevee's a girl. Tiddlywinks (talk) 22:26, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Alright then, thanks! So does that basically mean Eevee's confirmed like with Fennekin when Serena said something about "Girls should always take good care of themselves!" back in the Pokevision ep when they were baking? It was used in context thus confirming her gender anyway right? Also if true, would that apply to Chespin and Pancham (and Quilladin) as well for their gender? Serena could only be talking to Quilladin but since the other two were fighting with it, I think what she said applies to them too. What about what Clemont says before Serena said that certain line (you don't have to answer this one)? --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 23:01, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
FWIW, I don't actually have much to do with the anime usually, so I have little idea of the wiki's standards for things like this; I can only argue about the Japanese. I'd be inclined to say Chespin, Pancham, and Quilladin's genders still aren't confirmed, that would require assuming for them.
Clemont's line in XY094? うまく行きそうにないですね ? That doesn't have anyhing to do with gender... Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:22, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
Okay, thanks anyway! Nah, I just wanted to know what Clemont said, I pretty much got what everyone else said in that scene except for him. --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 23:56, 5 November 2015 (UTC)
I've asked the other admins but this may take a bit since they may be too busy to check right now.--ForceFire 04:37, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
And they've confirmed it. As for Chespin, Quilladin and Pancham, it does not indicate their genders since girls can be rough too.--ForceFire 12:52, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Not to start in on a dead horse, but the assumption required is not (primarily, at least) that only boys can be rough. It's that only boys like or want to be liked by girls. Tiddlywinks (talk) 13:51, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Eevee's theme

In the trivia section for the article on Ash's Hawlucha it lists the fact that Hawlucha has it's own theme due to it being one the few Pokémon that does. It seems like Eevee also has her own theme since it can be heard during scenes that focus on her. Is this something that should be mentioned in her article like it is in Hawlucha's? - unsigned comment from Flain (talkcontribs)

I think it's worth a mention in the trivia section, if she's one of the few to have themes.--ForceFire 03:58, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
What's the theme name?-- --Handmaiden 101 (tAlk) 22:33, 19 December 2015 (UTC)

Protect the page due to future evolution?

So a new trailer came out for the next couple episodes, showing (along with a lot of other equally hype-worthy things) Eevee evolving into Sylveon in a fight with Miette (probably the dance episode). Should we protect the page now? --JoeIsCool (I refuse to be communicated with!) 23:52, 30 December 2015 (UTC)

I agree, Eevee is no doubt evolving in the preview so protecting should happen.Lunaflaire (talk) 00:34, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

I've semi protected it, in case it learns a new move or does other major thing between now and its evolution. If users adding in the speculation it becomes a problem, then it'll be fully protected.--ForceFire 03:00, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
Oops, looks like you've forgot about the protect notice template. That's okay, I've just added the template. —Platinum Lucario (talk) 15:18, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

Sylveon's VA

Can someone figure out who Sylveon's Japanese voice actress is? I've heard that voice somewhere before but I can't seem to figure it out. — Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 06:09, 02 February 2016 (UTC)

Trivia Facts for Serena's Sylveon

Christian (talk) 22:52, 3 May 2016 (UTC) Hi Bulbapedia,

I have ideas for trivia facts for Serena's Sylveon.

FACT 1: Serena's Sylveon is the only Pokémon whose evolution is not teased in a poster.

FACT 2: Before evolving from Eevee, Sylveon did not know any Fairy-type moves. This is impossible for game mechanics because Eevee normally learns a Fairy-type move and have two hearts from Pokémon Amie in order to evolve into Sylveon.

Fact 1 is true because in the XYZ Poster, Sylveon is still an Eevee while Ash's Noibat is a Noivern despite evolving first in the series. Fact 2 is similar to how Ash's Sliggoo evolves into Goodra without the normal game mechanics.

Chrisbulb - unsigned comment from Chrisbulb (talkcontribs)

First isn't notable with only three Pokemon total, and only one other evolution. Second is stated right in the trivia section to not add. Anime =/= games, and they should not be compared in that way. ChE clarinetist (talk) 23:11, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Christian (talk) 19:06, 4 May 2016 (UTC) For fact 2, Anime =/= games, are compared in that way just like Ash's Sliggoo evolving into Goodra without the game mechanics. - unsigned comment from Chrisbulb (talkcontribs)

Christian (talk) 19:13, 4 May 2016 (UTC) Also, the trivia only states Sylveon's capture, not its evolution, silly. - unsigned comment from Chrisbulb (talkcontribs)

ChE clarinetist is talking about the source code in the Trivia section, which is hidden from normal view unless you're in editing mode. It says: Please don't add trivia about Eevee evolving without knowing a Fairy type move. Games=/=Anime. As for Goodra, that's something that needs to be removed from Goodra's page, not added here. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:20, 4 May 2016 (UTC)

Christian (talk) 19:27, 5 May 2016 (UTC) I am aware of the fact not to add trivia about Eevee evolving without knowing a Fairy type move. Why do you want to remove the game mechanics fact for Ash's Goodra? It is a great fact. Who's in charge of this website?

Can you still add this trivia fact. FACT 1: Serena's Sylveon is the only Pokémon whose evolution is not teased in a poster. (Not counting the Volcanion movie poster, Eevee evolved before this poster came out.)

Also, I'm obeying the rule. Please don't add trivia about Eevee evolving without knowing a Fairy type move.

Out of curiosity, why should the Anime and game not be compared? It's a great trivia fact. - unsigned comment from Chrisbulb (talkcontribs)

It is not notable, that is why that trivia point will not be added. Serena has only had two of her Pokémon evolve, out of three total. That is too small a sample to draw any conclusions from. Plus the series is not yet over, and there is always the potential for future evolutions. Also, please go read your user talk page and the points made about your signature, you are still signing your post in the wrong spot in addition to not following the rules on proper indentation of talk page comments.
