Using Rock Climb in HGSS

I know you only get it after you get the 8 Kanto Badges, but has anyone tried trading over a Pokemon that knows Rock Climb before you have them? Perhaps it can be used sooner than that.--Purimpopoie 13:43, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Earth Badge allows the usage of Rock Climb, so you wouldn't be able to use it until getting all 8 Kanto badges anyway. I haven't gotten that far yet on my copy, but I'm pretty sure Blue only appears if you have all the other Kanto badges. →Tinā ^♫δ 16:05, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

Trivia: Starter Usage

Hi, I'm new, so I have no idea what to do. I reckon that it could be put where it says that Charizard is the only starter to not learn Rock Climb, it is also the only starter that can learn Fly. Help?! --Herachu 15:04, 17 January 2010 (UTC)

Generation VIII

I believe Rock Climb is invalidate in Sword and Shield, but the page does not reflect this.

Er, I believe the page does reflect the fact that Rock Climb cannot be used in SwSh. The move's description for those games specifically states "This move can't be used. It's recommended that this move is forgotten. Once forgotten, this move can't be remembered." --SpinyShell (talk) 23:24, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
