Choice items

I once heard that you're not locked into pursuit with a choice item if the opponent switches out. (after the switch you could selected a different attack).

Anyone know it this is true? Shiny Lanturn 13:29, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Pursuit bug

Not sure if it's in the English versions, but is the Pursuit-Weather bug in Pt and HGSS notable here? --Pizzaman 10:40, 30 September 2009 (UTC)

Technician?

does technician apply first, making base power 120, or does pursuit bonus apply first, making base power 80?

Do they apply at the same time? - unsigned comment from Nerdandrew (talkcontribs)

Power / category

Can somebody check that Pursuit is definitely physical, and definitely has base power 40 (in the default i.e. opponent-not-switching situation) as of Generation II? I'm playing Gold, and am finding that Quick Attack definitely does greater damage, from the same user (Scyther, therefore no STAB for either move) and on the same target without type multipliers for either Normal or Dark. Quick Attack is supposedly also physical and also has base power 40, so I don't understand why Pursuit is doing less than half(!) the damage. --Kalenz (talk) 09:12, 24 July 2015 (UTC)

Pursuit is a Dark-type move, which is a special type in Generation II and III. The Physical/Special split wasn't implemented until Generation IV. --Abcboy (talk) 09:19, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
