Episode Titles

The first 4 episode titles have been revealed on a Japanese TV guide. Are they going to be listed on this website as SM001, SM002, etc... Srushj11 (talk) 18:04, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

Misty and Brock main characters?

Hi.

Since Misty and Brock are on the fourth Sun and Moon Japanese poster, think we should "promote" them from Supporting Characters to Main Characters? Weedle Mchairybug (talk) 14:18, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

No. Absolutely nothing suggests they will be main characters. They're at the back, like Nanu and Acerola were. Playerking95 (talk) 14:21, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
To be fair, most of the other main characters weren't exactly shown to be in the front in the last poster either (in fact, only Lillie, Mallow, and Kiawe were even remotely close to being in the front, and even THEY were shown to be at a distance). Heck, in the second poster, the only main character besides Ash to actually BE in the front is Lillie. And besides, it's not like Misty and Brock were in even in the first poster at all, and that was DESPITE their actually appearing that season/arc. Heck, by your logic, Team Rocket aren't main characters because they're even FURTHER in the back than Misty and Brock. You'd need a better argument to dismiss them from that. Still, I'll honor your wishes and avoid moving them, at least until they actually appear. Weedle Mchairybug (talk) 14:28, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I somehow doubt they are being brought back as main characters, much as I would like them to be.--BigDocFan (talk) 14:33, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure they would not have appeared on the poster at all if they weren't actually going to be important to the season, meaning either main characters or otherwise plot-relevant supporting characters (such as Lusamine in the case of the second poster). After all, they certainly didn't appear in the first poster for the series, and that was DESPITE them actually appearing in that season. Weedle Mchairybug (talk) 14:38, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
Except we know that Ash's classmates are main characters, they will always be main characters in this series. Lillie was more prominently featured for the same reason she had those diary entries, she was a main focus of that arc. Brock and Misty were not going to be shown on the first series poster because that wouldn't make any sense for characters that were being showcased 41 episodes later and who were only around for two episodes, unlike Nanu and Acerola, who have appeared in several episodes. Nanu and Acerola also are clearly smaller than Lana, Sophocles and Mallow and aren't interacting with the Ultra Beasts, showing that they don't have as strong of an importance to the cast members. And we know that those two were never going to be main characters. Why would a Kahuna be as important as someone like Kiawe, when he lives on another Island and doesn't attend the Pokemon School. Team Rocket being in the back is probably to showcase Snufful, and let's face it, unlike Ash's classmates, they can go weeks without appearing, so they're important, but they don't appear as often. Playerking95 (talk) 14:39, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that they would have factored into the poster in the same way that Nanu and Acerola were on the third poster, especially considering that they also played a pretty big role in that season (namely, it was thanks to them and their battle as part of that Field Trip in When Regions Collide that Professor Kukui decided to pursue his dream of forming the Alola League. That sounds pretty major to me, especially when before then it was implied in CoroCoro that Ash wasn't even going to pursue that Pokémon Master goal at all.). Besides, if they can massively hype up their appearances via CoroCoro and Twitter viral marketing for what amounted to be at most two episodes, they most CERTAINLY can put them on a poster during the first season. Heck, that's what I would have done if I did the poster, even position them slightly further away than Team Rocket as well to make sure I communicate that, while they do appear in the season and play a slightly major role, they aren't quite as important or prevalent. Besides, I'm pretty sure Ash's classmates can go without appearing for weeks as well (don't forget, this series actually has notable absences from them a few times, which is even noted in the trivia section for this article). Heck, going by the third poster, Acerola actually was about the same size as Sophocles and Lana going by line distance (and quite frankly, Lana didn't exactly look like she was actually interacting with the UBs either, just staring to the right Weedle Mchairybug (talk) 14:46, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Weedle, you have been on this site for far too long to know not to just add the information. Wait until we get more information than just the poster. Seriously.--ForceFire 14:53, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

To be fair, I hadn't actually added any information regarding Misty and Brock either, and even tried to ask permission, and when they said no, I conceded their point and DIDN'T move them at all. In fact, the only time I had even attempted to add ANY information regarding characters on posters at all was with Nanu and Acerola, and even there, they've already come and gone, and I removed them solely because they didn't have any anime key art. Trivia

I don't know if it's necessary, but shouldn't the fact that Ash doesn't actually travels throughout Alola be added to the trivia session of the SM series? Ash pratically lives there now, and doesn't travel anywhere, except to challenge the Trials or Ultra Guardian missions? He basically lives in Kukui's house, goes to the Pokemon School, and that's it. Like I said, could be a meaningless fact, but it's a trivia fact, nonetheless, right?

HygorBH (talk) 02:18, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

He does hop to another island from time to time, so I would consider that traveling. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:28, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
Exactly. How is going from island to island not travelling?--ForceFire 06:35, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Theme Songs

In this Youtube video posted by The Official Pokémon YouTube channel, would these be the extended themes for the Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon openings. DarkDan 14:57, 1 July 2020 (UTC)

Yeah they’re extended, but only by instrumental, not new verses--KnightGalarie (talk) 15:20, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
