Yes, you can transfer your entire PC up to the bank, restart your game, and pop your Pokémon back in your new game after having received the Pokédex. Might be some obedience issues at first... CraftyWeavile (talk) 05:55, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Pokémon Bank Bug?
Okay, so I was transferring Pokémon yesterday to complete my Pokédex, and some of them are hacked because I kept missing their events (i.e. Hacking the Member Card to get Darkrai, etc.). What's odd is my Wish Maker Jirachi and my Manaphy, both I hacked to get, went through just fine. But when I tried to transfer my Shaymin and Darkrai, both I caught with the use of the Member Card and Oak's Letter, it said they couldn't get through because they were hacked. Can anyone explain why this oddity happened because I am really confused by it. Pokedex493 (talk) 04:24, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
:The hack check that the Transporter uses doesn't seem to actually check if the Pokémon was created by a hack, but more specific properties, most notably seems to be the location that they were caught. So, if a hacked Pokémon is given an original location that is legitimate for that Pokémon it has a chance of passing the check regardless of being hacked, where an Arceus with a caught location of 201 would more than likely fail. ::See that's just the thing. I caught Shaymin in Flower Paradise and Darkrai in Newmoon Island respectively, but they still couldn't get through. My theory is that the date they were caught might've given it away, but I could be wrong. Pokedex493 (talk) 04:58, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
:::I doubt it's the date.  My friend has been transporting some of my RNGed Pokemon and none of them have correct dates.  Did you happen to get them on Diamond and Pearl instead of Platinum? --<span style="color:#009900">It's</span> <span style="color:#CC66FF">Funktastic~!</span><small><span style="color:#99CCFF">話してください</span></small> 05:01, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
::::It's not really a surprise if an illegitimate Pokemon passes. It would be almost impossible for the hack-check to be completely foolproof. You can't actually check if something was created by hacking, really, because most hacking tools wouldn't want to leave such an indication. You can only check for oddities.
::::As for the two you express surprise about, Darkrai and Shaymin...you say you hacked the Member's Card (I would assume you did the same for Oak's Letter). It's possible that Pokemon Bank is able to recognize that your game never acquired a Member's Card through legitimate means. Or maybe the game knew from the get-go and actually marked those Pokemon specially. (If the former (if it's just Bank putting two and two together), then they might go through if you traded them to a perfectly clean game. I stress that this is just a guess, though.) :::::It's worth a try. I do have a copy of Black 2 and White to trade between. Thanks for the help. I'll post to this if I see any results. Pokedex493 (talk) 05:04, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
::::::If you hacked the Member Card/Oak's Letter to get them in Platinum, they should pass through fine. If you did so in DP, it is completely understandable that the game noticed. Firstly, there is a game of origin flag anyway, so Transporter could just check for that (note that that is what transfers Pokémon, not Bank, so this discussion would be more suited to that page anyway). However, more importantly, Darkrai/Shaymin caught in DP do not have the fateful encounter flag, whereas those caught in Platinum do; Transporter is probably just checking to see if they are FE, and since DP ones aren't, it is rejecting them. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 05:13, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
:::::::Doh. I was basing my previous "guess" on the supposition that you were using Transporter on the game Darkrai/Shaymin were caught in. But of course that can't be. They're completely different generations, even. =P
:::::::(The thing SnorlaxMonster sort of glosses over above is that the Member Card/Oak's Letter were apparently only officially distributed for Platinum.) Tiddlywinks (talk) 05:24, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
::::::::Oh, yeah, I probably should have mentioned that. So what it means is that non-FE Darkrai/Shaymin aren't legit, so Transporter would reasonably check for that. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 05:43, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
:::::::::I see. Then I should start saving up for Platinum. Thanks for the help guys. I understand the hack check better now. Pokedex493 (talk) 05:47, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
IT'S NOT HACKED!
The Entei I had obtained from someone (it had been caught in FRLG) refuses to be transferred to the bank. Why? CraftyWeavile (talk) 06:00, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
:If you didn't catch it yourself, you have no real way of knowing whether it's hacked or not, and we can't really help you without really any information. --<span style="color:#009900">It's</span> <span style="color:#CC66FF">Funktastic~!</span><small><span style="color:#99CCFF">話してください</span></small> 06:07, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
Trading??
Does anyone know if depositing a pokemon in the bank resets its friendship, as trading does? Because I deposited a level 5 cleffa from one game and withdrew it in another, and without being in a luxury ball, holding a soothe bell, or otherwise giving it any happiness-boosting items, it evolved at level 16. I did use poke-amie a bit, but not *nearly* enough to explain how a traded pokemon--which, according to Bulbapedia, should have been reset to 70 friendship--could have gotten to over 220 friendship in 11 levels. It's only *barely* feasible if we assume that she started at 140. (Even then, I'm not sure how that happened; I'm *guessing* the poke-amie helped--maybe affection hearts increase the rate at which happiness increases? She only had two, though.)Harumei
:Relatedly, did it keep Amie? --TruePikachu (talk) 23:00, 2 March 2014 (UTC)
Pokemon Eggs and Bank
There seems to be some conflicting information out on the 'Net about whether you can store Pokémon eggs in Bank.  You can't -- at least not according to my experience you can't (screenshot).  Can anyone confirm?  --Stratelier 06:07, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

Held Items, Mega Stones, and Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
The Pokémon Bank says it will send held items to the bag if a Pokémon you deposit is holding an item.  How will people bring Mega Stones from Pokémon X and Y into Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire if the bank won't take the items?  Will people be able to transfer Pokémon with Mega Stones to the new games through trading, or is it possible Pokémon Bank will update to where it CAN accept held items? --Duel Monster (talk) 01:19, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
:Given XY and ORAS are within the same Generation, I have no doubt you'll be able to trade between games without having to use Bank or any other means of transfer besides Trading. <span style="color:#C00;">★</span><span style="color:#C00;">Jo the Marten</span><span style="color:#C00;">★</span> <span style="color:#C00;">ಠ_ಠ</span><span style="color:#90C870;">♥</span> 05:25, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Compatibility chart
I've been thinking that instead of expanding the lead every time a new game comes out, we should just have a little chart that shows what games are compatible with the software. I made it up on my sandbox page, but wanted to see what other people thought about including it. --<font color="blue">Hoenn</font><font color="green">Master</font> 02:09, 21 September 2016 (UTC)
Mewnium Z
Since it's being distributed through Pokebank, should it be added under Event Pokemon or be given its own subpage? Also, what template should be used for Mewnium Z? Terezi
Pokedex function
Could someone please update the page with Pokémon Bank's Pokédex function? I'd do it myself, but I don't have all the details on how it works. PartHunter (talk) 09:58, 23 February 2017 (UTC)
Navigational table
Does anyone know how to edit navigation tables that appear on multiple pages? Because they don't appear in individual articles. Also can someone add in the inter-generational communication table between Gen I(VC) and Gen VI to insert Gen II(VC). I know speculation isn't a good idea but I just want to point out this since the Nintendo Direct outright states that Gen II(VC) is able to operate within Pokemon Bank.Nikuriku (talk) 22:57, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

So Pokémon from Gold and Silver will not be transferable to the original Sun and Moon? TeridaxXD001 (talk) 23:12, 7 June 2017 (UTC)
:I think all we know at this point is that they'll be transferable to Bank and then to Ultra SM. We'll probably have to wait until the VC release to find out whether they'll also be transferable to the original SM.
