I'm guessing because Officer Jenny is her real name. --PAK Man Talk 00:04, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

Are these all one Growlithe of a specific Officer Jenny or not? If not, then... ht14 01:40, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Bite: Normal or Dark?

I recently changed Bite's type to Dark, but it's been changed back under the reasoning that when it was used, Bite was a normal-type attack. I don't understand... if an attack or Pokemon type is changed, then doesn't that mean that if something appeared previous to that then it still counts as the new type regardless? No. Unless Bite was used by a Growlithe after EP117, it does't count as dark. And I'm pretty sure Bite hasn't been used by a Growlithe since then. Hypothetically, if Growlithe used Bite on a Kadabra, in Generation I it would be normally effective, and in Generation II it would be super effective. It makes a difference. -- LimeGreenCharizard -- 23:41, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
I disagree. Having bite as a dark type would be more accurate and current, regardless of the example you just gave.--ForceFire 23:46, 27 October 2011 (UTC)
The point was it wasn't current(ly Dark) when it was "first used". Since the column is called "first used", that what makes Normal accurate in this instance. Take the page for Curse. It was ???-type in Gen II, which is why we're using the ??? coloration on the TM table instead of the Ghost coloration, Ghost on the event table (being Gen V), and mixed colors for all the cross-generational tables. And it's not just like that here. It's like this across the site. I mean, if Growlithe really did use Bite when it was Dark type, then at the most we could add another first-used Bite where it is such (seeing as it is essentially a new attack). -- LimeGreenCharizard -- 00:05, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
Karate chop, Bite. Both use Normal type for when it was used, and Fighting/Dark when it was used later. Any more arguments? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 00:44, 28 October 2011 (UTC)
