Japanese name

So I don't know how I'd put this in the article, but I know for sure it's spelled "オツキミやま" in Generation III... but it's "おつきみやま" (just replacing the katakana for hiragana) in IV. What's the spelling in I and II, and where would I note this on the article? ▫▫ティナ 22:06, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Well, I found my old Japanese copy of Pokémon Yellow, and it was spelled as "オツキミやま" in there, if that helps. I don't know about Generation II, though. Wolf 22:50, 22 May 2010 (UTC)

Paras

Maybe it's just my rotten luck, but I'm playing the Japanese Red right now, and I haven't found a single Paras in the whole cave, but I managed to meet two Clefairy. I don't know if Paras is absent in the Japanese version, but either that, or I think it's rarer or something. Krisi 12:11, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Okay, it turns out Mt. Moon in fact has paras in it (according to the Pokédex), but I wish that somebody could check if they're rarer in the Japanese version. Krisi 18:21, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
I think that they can just be found in certain corridors between stairs--Ash0011 01:06, 22 January 2011 (UTC)

Mysterious Power?

In HeartGold and SoulSiver, the Pokegear said that Mt. Moon "now holds a mysterious power". I'm going to test if Magneton and Nosepass can evolve to Magnezone and Probopass respectively there. --Tony YKS, posted on 24/9/2011

They don't. Tried it. --SnorlaxMonster 15:25, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
Oh, no! Then how can we evolve Magneton and Nosepass? And what does the mysterious power mean? --Tony YKS, replied at 8:10AM, 25/9/2011(Hong Kong Standard Time).
Trade them to a Sinnoh game, evolve, trade back. Those kinds of references, as with the Pokedex entries are usually just flavour text that has no in-game basis. They are, however, often expanded on in other media. (anime, manga etc.) Also, if you sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~) it automatically adds the timestamp in UTC for you. Hidden Ledge? (Generation III)

So, I was messing around on my Leafgreen game, and when i walked into the room with the thief TM, I walked directly down from where the ladder is (I had a gameshark walk through walls code in)and when I walked through the large stone wall to the other side, the animation and sound effect for jumping over a ledge played. This might mean that instead of that large wall, it was originally meant to be just a ledge, and this is a piece of beta. Anyone seen this before? Nick the Snorlax (talk) 01:25, 18 May 2013 (UTC)

Missing Items?

Any other users of FireRed and LeafGreen v1.0 find that the hidden items in the Paras only corridors are missing? They're just Tiny Mushrooms, but still. Hobbs678 (talk) 01:34, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

They're not missing. Some items appear later in the game when you've progressed to a certain point in the game. For example, the big mushrooms appear after the player has entered Hall of Fame. -Ishu bagaria (talk) 17:53, 11 September 2015 (UTC)

Changing information about the Mt. Moon mushrooms in Gen 3

Hello all, I tried to change the information about the TinyMushrooms in FR/LG but someone seems to delete it all the time.

I would like to give the information that the TinyMushrooms do not automatically spawn and that they are triggered by an ingame event. You might think this is stupid but there is a lot of confusion about these and other hidden items in the game, and I would like to put more information in the items box. For example, at the BigMushroom it says you can only find them postgame, and for the TinyMushrooms, it only says they are hidden, but this is not complete.

The problem is that to his day (I know, it is ridiculous, but it's true) no one knows exactly when those TinyMushrooms spawn. I'm looking into it, but it can some time to find it out. As long as I'm not 100% sure, I would like to give the info that there is an ingame event spawning the mushrooms, instead of making people crazy by stating they are there, whilst they are not.

If you don't believe, simply start a new game on fire red or leaf green, defeat brock and go check Mt. Moon in one go (takes you 10 minutes with an emulator). 100% of the times you won't find the TinyMushrooms.

UPDATE: There is already one thing I know and that is when you return the quickest way possible to Mt. Moon in the game without ding anything else (defeat Misty, enter SS Anne, get cut, and go through diglett tunnel back to Pewter) you wll find the TinyMushrooms. We can conclude that in a normal game, anytime when you just return to Mt. Moon, you will find them. - unsigned comment from J Cleffe (talkcontribs)

hey i figured out when the tinys first spawn. for my playthrough atleast. its when i got the ss anne ticket from bill. right after that i used a cheat to get back into mt moon and boom they were there. also im playing on v1.1 -EternalDragonX (talk) 05:34, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Recurring mushrooms

Does anyone know what causes the tiny mushrooms to reappear in FRLG? sumwun (talk) 19:53, 19 July 2018 (UTC)

I guess this has been resolved. sumwun (talk) 03:45, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

unnecessary

i was just being more specific. dome and helix are the actual fossils and it seems better than just fossils EternalDragonX (talk) 05:06, 13 August 2018 (UTC)
