Can't we just merge this with the Fake Pokémon page? 486TESH377TALK378FUN379 16:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Deletion

Fine, let's talk about it. Why does Mewthree merit its own page? -- evkl (need to talk?) 05:17, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't know. But don't you think you should get more opinions on it first? --ケンジガール 05:18, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Tesh that the page should be merged with the Fake Pokémon article. --PAK Man Talk 05:20, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Kenji, first you say I should solicit opinions, then I solicit opinions and you basically refuse to give yours? -- evkl (need to talk?) 05:21, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Ugh, edit conflicts. Anyway, I agree with merging this and PokéGods with Fake Pokémon. - espeonA 05:22, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Like I said before, put them in a section, Fandon: Title. --Clarky13 05:30, 19 January 2009 (UTC)

My below section on merging was overlooked, or, more likely, ignored. After more thought on the subject, I've decided nothing on this article is worth merging. Nearly all of the information is incorrect... Scratch that; all of it is. We're best just doing away with the whole thing. Redstar 13:51, 14 January 2010 (UTC)

Reasons to delete this page:

  1. Non-notability. No other fake Pokémon is given such attention. All are grouped on either the Fake Pokémon article or the PokéGods article. Mewthree was certainly not one of the most popular Pokégods back in the day (as a simple Google search will reveal almost no codes or references to it) and its status as a "fake Pokémon" is also exagerrated, as, other than "Chaos Black", it's hardly ever presented in a hack game. Fan art is also few and far between, as seen on DeviantART and Google images. Many of the fan art is made by the same people, so it's not wide-spread.
  2. Incorrect information. Mewthree does not/did not appear "commonly" in fake codes. I've only been able to turn up, at most, three different codes for obtaining Mewthree, when other Pokémon, like Pikablu, have over a dozen. Likewise, none of the codes offered for obtaining a Mewthree suggested deleting your save file. Finally, the "example" of a fake code for obtaining Mewthree never existed. The only references to it are this very site and Yahoo questions. None of the codes circulated in the day are anything like it.
  3. Fan-cruft. Much of the article focuses on Chaos Black and "Mewthree X", which is not Mewthree. It seems more like an advertisement than anything else. In fact, an article for only Mewthree is fan-cruft. Better merged with other related information.
  4. Stub. Four paragraphs of largely inaccurate or false information is hardly informative and no long enough to support itself as a single article.

Because of all this, it's better to simply delete the article. None of the information found on it can really be merged with either Fake Pokémon or PokéGods because it's mostly incorrect, and because it's non-notable anyways. Redstar 13:27, 15 January 2010 (UTC)

Mewthree X

I mentioned Mewthree X on this page again. It was reverted before but it does exist in the fake game ChaosBlack. It is the evolved form of Mewthree in that game. and i know they both don't exist before you go reverting my edit again. Solar Dragon 10:15, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

While it's worded slightly better now, the original implied that Mewthree was a real Pokémon and hence had a real evolution. This article is, as it stands, more of an overview of the label "Mewthree" that has been applied to a number of things in the fandom. —darklordtrom 10:24, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for changing it for me. It does need a mention on the article, especially as it is pictured. Solar Dragon 10:44, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Merge

Hopefully this isn't overlooked. I propose merging all relevant information into the PokéGods page, per necessary expansion of that article. Mewthree isn't any more notable than other rumoured PokéGods, although is arguably less notable. Merging would result in a far more comprehensive article, rather than dividing it and leaving a clearly fan-favorite fakemon that shouldn't stand on its own. Redstar 09:24, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
