Whenever I'm at this page (as well as May's Munchlax's page) the buttons get small and the Bulbapedia stuff on the left goes below the article. Theryguy512 19:51, 22 September 2007 (UTC) Actually its all of May's Pokemon's pages. I think that May's Pokemon template is messing it up! Theryguy512 19:52, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Hearts

Should it be added that Bulbasaur has hearts on it's head?

It's already mentioned in the article. うずまき 18:59, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

Venusaur

Talk about an unexpected twist. May's Bulbasaur is now a Venusaur, and we may have gender confirmation; May's Venusaur has a seed in its flower like the female Venusaur in the games. Trainer-c 13:38, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

May have? That's a definite gender confirmation if you ask me. But what about Squirtle's evolution, and when the hell did she get the chance to go back to Pallet? And... what does Ash's Bulbasaur think? And since DP077 and 078 aired today, is this from the preview for DP079 or was it in one of those two episodes? I'll see them later but just for reference... The Venusaur image is from DP078, and the Wartortle Image is from DP077. Ash's Bulbasaur might not even know that May's Bulbasaur evolved. We can assume the last time they saw each other was before May picked up her Bulbasaur. =P I do wonder how the VineShippers will take this news. Trainer-c 15:07, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Poor guy. May'll show up with Venusaur and Bulbasaur will be all like "Bulba?!", then EP051's gonna be undone completely and Ash's original team is gonna be made up of the same Pokémon that Red has in SSBB. TTEchidna 16:48, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I sure hope not. People confuse Ash with Red enough as it is. It will be very interesting to see Bulbasaur's reaction though. Trainer-c 16:55, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Holy s*** VENUSAUR! Damn I wasn't expecting that. May evovled her Bulbasaur and Squirtle before Ash did! Well judging by the seed I guess it was female. --ケンジガール 17:39, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
Well this screws it up. How the hell is a Bulbasaur gonna make out with a Venusaur? O.O Goddammit. Posted by the OptimatumTalk|Links11:10 9 May 2008
Hm, I think that VineShippers are quite a bit mad (or maybe going crazy) about this, as this is a fact that messes up the idea with that shipping quite a bit. But because the beliving of VineShipping, the ones who make the Pokémon anime may plan a surprise in a future episode! Some examples; May have got to knew her love for him and evolved her into Venusaur to impress on Ash's Bulbasaur, or maybe just Venusaur wanted that, or that Ash's Bulbasaur have evolved at Professor Oak's laboratory, unknowingly for Ash (don't forget; he was ready to evolve to Ivysaur already in EP051!). But I shouldn't be to premature! (or what it's called) ~~Pokémon Lover King Mario 13:24 (GMT +01)
I agree. Ash's Bulbasaur could easily have evolved off-screen. But we won't know until we see it again. - Cassius335 12:00, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
To be fair, or at least to my knowledge, Bulbasaur only rejected evolution because it wasn't ready at the time so there's a chance it may still evolve. I think they could have at least kept May's as an Ivysaur - she must have done so much training since Kanto and it has been in her team less than most of her Pokémon - and it lost it's heart shape.--Woodland:M 15:58, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
It lost its heart shape? Oh no! A broken heart! Posted by the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links09:36 10 May 2008
Am I the only one here who sees that there is absolutely no evidence of Ash's Bulbasaur and May's Bulbasaur having a romantic relationship? So she stayed at Oak's lab, big deal. Maybe May just wanted her to pick up some tips from Ash's Bulbasaur to become stronger. And I highly doubt Ash's Bulbasaur evolved because it was intent on not evolving in the first place in order to prove it can be strong with out an evolution. --ケンジガール 10:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Am I the only one here who sees that there is absolutely no evidence of Ash's Bulbasaur and May's Bulbasaur NOT having a romantic relationship? Say, I'm neutral but happy to go with the shipping. Although a Ash's Bulbasaur+May's Venusaur=Someone else's Bulbasaur would be kinda sketchy to me. Posted by the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links10:46 10 May 2008
Kenji-girl: If you don't realise that anybody can change their mind in almost 9 years, you seriously need a doctor.
Optimus35: Yeah, probably you are. Pokémon Lover King Mario
Excuse me? Keep your opinions about me to yourself. 9 years hasn't passed in the anime. --ケンジガール 22:08, 24 May 2008 (UTC)
Bulbasaur can still change it's mind, though. - Cassius335 22:46, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Bulbasaur's evolving

There's got to be a better was of stating how long May's Bulbasaur's evolutions lasted. Even in a show which once contained Ash's Charmeleon, it's a bit unlikely that Bulbsaur became Venasaur the moment it touched Johto soil. - Cassius335 09:42, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

True. But it could have been any amount of episodes between BF and now that it spent becoming Ivysaur and just as many becoming a Venusaur. No Pokémon has evolved twice offscreen! TTEchidna 09:57, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
What about "This Pokemon spent at least [however many eps it was] as a Bulbasaur and an unknown number of eps as an Ivysaur"? - Cassius335 14:06, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Vineshipping

Ash's Bulbasaur seems to have hit the Pikachu problem: Shipped with a female, but of unknown gender itself. - Cassius335 18:21, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm...

Now, how do we even know that this Venusaur is the same Bulbasaur? For all we know, May could've captured a female Venusaur in Johto, and her Bulbasaur could still be at Professor Oak's, because as far as I know, Venusaur's only appearance was a 5-second cameo, and it was never explicitly stated that that Venusaur was once the Bulbasaur May left at Professor Oak's lab. Of course, I could be dead wrong here, but I think it deserves some thought, don't you? I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 12:05, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

We'll just have to wait until Ash comes home and finds May in his home!--KukiTalk 12:09, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

It's unlikely but it is possible. The thing is, why would she want another Bulbasaur (or evo) when she already has one? It's a bit cruel to replace it. The only Venusaur I could see her catching is the one from the Forbidden Forest. It's possible that it's that one, but it didn't have a seed (because gender differences weren't around then and it may have been male) and it's likely that it wouldn't leave the place it's guarding. Obviously the writers could come up with anything so it may be a different Venusaur but unless they are planning to surprise everyone it's just confusing the situation as most people have assumed this is the same Bulbasaur she has always had. --Woodland:M 12:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

We have no evidence that it evolved, but none saying it didn't. Its evolution is implied, not confirmed. If I were in control of this page, I'd put it back, but evidently, I'm not.
And before this happens to Squirtle, Brock said, "To think that Wartortle used to be May's little Squirtle," or at least in the dub. ----Zewis (29) 18:29, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

May's Venasaur is . . .

the only starter from a Main Series game that she caught, Torchic and Squirtle were given to her by the professors of their region.--Chaos Theory 02:17, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Bulbasaur's Tackle

Did Bulbasaur really did use Tackle in its debut?--JasonL 00:47, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
