== Karakuri Puppet? ==
Do we have any evidence to believe Magearna is based off of a karakuri puppet? While I would agree that it is likely based off of historical automatons, I would argue that Leonardo da Vinci's robot[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonardo%27s_robot] has more evidence as a source of inspiration. Leonardo da Vinci lived 500 years ago, just as Magearna's creator did, and could very easily be described as a "scientist of uncommon genius". Also, in this trailer[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkQUuhfvdjU&ab_channel=%E3%83%9D%E3%82%B1%E3%83%A2%E3%83%B3%E5%85%AC%E5%BC%8FYouTube%E3%83%81%E3%83%A3%E3%83%B3%E3%83%8D%E3%83%AB] for the Magearna movie, Magearna's creator appears remarkably similar to da Vinci and has a studio that appears to be inspired by his.
As a comparison, karakuri puppets were originally made in the 17th to 19th centuries, placing them at least 50 years after Leonardo's robot, and were most famously known for being made by Tanaka Hisashige, who wasn't born until 1799.
