DBZ characters can beat people up in combat(Lucario can too with Close Combat and other Punch/Kick moves), use Ki(Aura is practically the same thing IMO) to launch energy attacks(Aura Sphere), Move insanely fast(Extremespeed), punch really fast too(Bullet Punch), and levitate in the air(Now with Magnet Rise). Counter, Reversal, Detect, Double Team, the other Pulse moves, Bulk Up/Iron Defense are also moves that could seem DBZ-ish in their descriptions and possible anime usage. And Lucario is the only Pokemon able to learn every single one of these moves. So, I really think Lucario is somewhat of a nod to DBZ.
