 :It would still be a certain amount of episodes. If it was... 24 episodes it was a Pikachu, then it would've began being a Pikachu or whatever in episode -10 or something. But in my opinion, I think it would be less than one episode, because Brock thought Lt. Surge evolved Pikachu into a Raichu right after he got it, and that proved to be partly true. -Are these teams definitely accurate? I don't have a game to hand (although I do have an official guide which says he had a Voltorb as well as Pika and Raichu in the originals), but I seem to remember him having more than just Raichus and Pikachus.

-Does this mean to say that whoever wrote this decided that a Gym Leader's Pokémon in the game cannot be included unless they also appear in the anime? Could someone please explain this apparent ommission of pokemon and this bizzarre statement?
