End of Routes

I have been wondering about this, and this seems like the best place to ask. I'm talking about the end of Routes. For example, on the Route 1 page it says:

North end: Routes 2/22 in Viridian

However, I find this to be wrong. Routes end when they run into another route (like Route 22 ending at the beginning of Route 23), or a town. Route 1 ends when it enters Viridian City, it does not go into the city, nor do any of the other routes, so why are many routes listed like this? It even says ont he page then end at cities, so I think this needs to be revised not to include other routes.

Description of Routes

Ive noticed that the majority of the Routes do not have an section for in game descriptions. Is this a job for Project:Routes!YES IT IS!--DCM((TalkContributions))

Route Picture Errors

At least for Routes 226 through 230, inclusive, in Sinnoh, the route pictures on their respective pages are wrong. Could anybody graphically inclined fix this? -- evkl (need to talk?) 23:42, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Something wrong?!

Just wondered if something was wrong with the Sinnoh Routes, seeming their not in a table like the rest? --S2daam 21:37, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Apparently TTE got halfway through a task and forgot about it. —darklordtrom 11:40, 17 July 2010 (UTC)

Shortest Routes

The info on Canyon Entrance states that Routes 37, 43, and 101 are all only one map square long. However, looking at the Gen. II picture of Route 43 on its page shows it being significantly longer than one map square vertically. Meanwhile, Routes 37 and 101 are only one map square in any direction. Did this route change in Gen. IV to be only one map square tall, or should Route 43 be removed from the note on Canyon Entrance? --PhantomJunkie 08:27, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Route 43 is still quite long in Generation IV. Perhaps it was meant to say Route 33, which is much shorter. --SnorlaxMonster 08:45, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Looking at the old gen II maps, it seems that the map is drawn differently in gen IV. In the gen II maps route 33 is more than one square, while route 43 is one square. In the gen IV maps it is the other way around. Any ideas on how to note that in that tiny section? Werdnae (talk) 08:55, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
How about:

"Canyon Entrance is one of the four shortest routes in the games, at merely one map square, along with Route 33 (Generation IV only) Route 37, Route 43 (Generation II only) and Route 101."

But I would honestly like to just remove that note, as there are quite a few routes that do that now, and Canyon Entrance isn't called a 'route' in-game. But if kept, this would also have to be spread onto the note sections for the mentioned routes too. --SnorlaxMonster 09:27, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
I've changed the page so it's at least accurate for the moment. Werdnae (talk) 09:40, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

N/A

Why does N/A redirect here? --Landfish7 00:56, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Because of auto-linking from parts of the template on this page. Mouse over the N/A in the table and it will show that it is a link. --SnorlaxMonster 07:43, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Seabreak Path and Flower Paradise

I think that Seabreak Path, and Flower Paradise should be added to the named routes section's Sinnoh portion. They fulfill all criteria for route-hood that one can imagine: they are outdoors, they are directly connected to a route system, and they have descriptions in Diamond, Pearl, and Emerald's Town Map (like every other Sinnoh route). In fact, in this article Seabreak Path is already mentioned as a terminus of Sinnoh Route 224.

Who has the privilege to edit this article? If you can, and if you agree with the above of course, could you move Seabreak Path and Flower Paradise from list of locations by name to this article? - unsigned comment from Redletterday (talkcontribs)

Sorry about the unsigned comment—Bulbapedia is acting weird on me. :( Redletterday 06:19, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Named routes

Can we please only include Sevii routes in this section? Bridges, caves, and forests should not be on this page. I will accept it if someone wants to call underwater a route, but not these other locations. Even some Sevii locations shouldn't be here, like Three Isle Path. --SnorlaxMonster 12:37, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

Bumping this because it still hasn't been addressed. In my opinion, the only named routes should be: the Sevii Islands ones, and underwater.
Debatable ones that I might consider routes are the Sinnoh lakefronts, Spring Path, Seabreak Path, and Undella Bay.
For the Sevii Islands, we can use the List of locations by index number to see what the routes are. Note that routes are always after towns and before other locations. That leads me to take index nos. 150-173 as routes, excluding the Sevii Isles. --Abcboy (talk) 22:54, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Six years later... My proposed criteria for a route is a location that is noted on the Town Map as route, independently of another location; is outside and not merely the exterior of an inside location; and is physically connected to another route, city, or town. This includes the existing Sevii Islands routes except Three Isle Path, the Sinnoh lakefronts, Spring Path, Seabreak Path, the Unova bridges except Marine Tube, Undella Bay, Azure Bay, Melemele Sea, Poni Wilds, Ancient Poni Path, Poni Breaker Coast, Poni Grove, Poni Plains, Poni Coast, and Poni Gauntlet. --Abcboy (talk) 03:16, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

Should the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra be included under "Named Routes"? Because the Wild Area is, and they're just other wild areas.Galladelover (talk) 17:13, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

Mouseover text?

The mouseover text for Diglett's Cave says 'Didga no ana' instead of 'Digda no ana' as the kanji would suggest. I don't know how to edit mouseover text (is it even called mouseover text anyway?), just pointing it out.Magentafeelings (talk) 22:09, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Colors

The plethora of barely meaningful colors seems extremely silly and uncanonical to me. Is there any persuasive reason (i.e. other than merely aesthetics) someone can give that we should continue using so many colors rather than just one for "cell turned on" and another for "cell turned off"? Kalos route names

Should those be added here, or are they too unimportant? --Abcboy (talk) 16:14, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
