Unfortunately, I can't really get video for it, even if I were to duplicate it. Is there anyone willing to help me that can? Thanks. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 21:32, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

Update: Okay, so it does happen with the Purity Zone thing, I just tested it successfully, but when I did it again for miiverse pics, it had no results. [https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHlGbbGS3g] I figured maybe it had to be on the same floor, but that doesn't appear to be it [https://miiverse.nintendo.net/posts/AYMHAAACAAADVHlGbvpUGQ] I just don't know. Should I add it anyway with a research tag? [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 22:29, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
:Combine it with the Celadon Gym tree/{{m|Cut}} glitch and go ahead and add them as one glitch. (It's the same basic cause.) You can mention both methods and tag it for research on the exact requirements in Pokemon Tower. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 22:53, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
::The Cut glitch? How's that related to this glitch? Also, I'd put one of my images there when I add it, but I still can't upload images yet. Could you please upload one from the 1st miiverse post for me? [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 23:00, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
:::''Is'' there a difference? I'm not really interested in glitches, so I don't know. Does Pikachu get stuck in one case but not in the other, or what?
:::For that matter, why does the trivia point about the glitch on {{m|Cut}} only mention Celadon Gym? There are plenty of trees, and the glitch (as described) isn't really at all complicated, so how is that place special (or is it, really)? [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 23:26, 16 April 2016 (UTC)
::::I don't mean to be rude (and I'm sorry if it comes out that way), but I think a better question is, "''Is there a similarity?''" because I just don't see a connection. As for the Celadon thing, it's the only place where a battle can occur next to a tree, as far as I know. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 00:26, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::It loads Pikachu on top of something else. That's arguably the same basic thing. And for some reason, so far no one has (ever) mentioned that Pikachu can be positioned on top of a cut tree the same way the player can so that, if you save and reload, Pikachu is standing on top of a tree. Can you tell me: is that possible or not? Because when all you're saying is that it's possible at Celadon Gym after a battle—for some reason ''completely ignoring'' the normal save/reload Cut glitch—it makes it seem like the save/reload method isn't possible, like there must be some ''different'' reason Pikachu glitches on top of the tree after a battle in Celadon Gym. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 00:59, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::::Okay, now I get where you're going with this. With the tree thing, it regrows whenever a battle ends or the game reloads. I assume that after a battle, it regrows the tree where Pikachu just so happens to be standing. But this glitch is just... different. I'll try to see if I can get this camera to work, but it's harder than recording a Smash Bros replay where I don't have to push the buttons during recording. I'll get back to you, hand on... [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 01:35, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::::For the sake of my sanity =P , can you please answer directly whether Pikachu can be glitched on top of a cut tree by save/reload? (I think I know the answer, but I really don't like the "I think" part.) [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 01:52, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::::::Finally, I now have [crappy] video of it. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sComMo9LaLo] And yes, the cutsave happens with Pikachu. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 02:14, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::::::There are crappier videos. =P That makes it much clearer than just the pictures did. Do you know how to reliably cause it, then? [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 04:06, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::::::::Unfortunately no, I don't. *thinks back* ... When I did the video successfully, I pushed (B) instead of (A), a bit quicker, and then moved immediately rather than delaying a second, so one theory is speed. Another guess I have is the number of steps I take from when Pikachu faints, but I don't know how I can possibly test that without Sweet Scent. I was actually hoping I could have a little help figuring it out.[[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 04:21, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::::::::Is figuring out the cause & requirements mandatory to add it? Or can I just put what little we know with a {{glitch<I></i>Research}} tag? [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 16:20, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::::::::You don't need to know the "cause" (internally), but it's definitely nice if it can be reproduced reliably. You've done it successfully at least twice, apparently. How much more have you tried it? How much have you failed or succeeded? Can you at least try to figure out a ''pretty'' reliable way to cause it (a way that will work more often than not)? In this sort of case, being overly specific would be better than being too generic. If there's one particular way that works always or most of the time for you, writing exactly that would be better than being too generic (even if another way can work, but is less reliable). [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 17:45, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::::::::::Okay, it seems Speed is the key; you got to move quickly. Well, I've never been great at Language Arts, so if I write it alone, chances are it's going to need to be redone. I wonder what we should call it? I'm thinking "Weird Pikachu Walk", but I feel like we could do better. Any ideas? [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 18:11, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::::::::::What you had before was better. I think maybe Pikachu follow delay glitch would be alright. (Titles use sentence case.) [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 18:24, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::::::::::::Oh, and (if you're alright with it) you could include your video too. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 18:26, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
Well, I just added it. I hope it's okay. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 19:37, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:I said it right above. Let me emphasize it once more in the hope that perhaps it will sink in.
:Titles here use SENTENCE case. (Please try to remember it.) [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 19:49, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::No, I saw your sentence and I mistakenly thought you meant capitalize the 1st letter of each word. ;_; *sighs* [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 20:12, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::And by the way, I saw that before it was reverted. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 21:29, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
:::The reverted edit was by an impersonator. The account has been dealt with. [[User:Tiddlywinks|Tiddlywinks]] ([[User talk:Tiddlywinks|talk]]) 22:32, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
::::<nowiki>*</nowiki>checks history* Ughh, I can't believe I fell for that. Now I'm glad I didn't say anything else. [[User:Unowninator|Unowninator]] ([[User talk:Unowninator|talk]]) 22:51, 17 April 2016 (UTC)
== Gate access restriction and cycling road access requirement bypassing ==
These look like the same glitch, in both cases someone is using the method mentioned on the page to get onto cycling road when they don't have a bicycle, just at different gates. Unless there's another gate not connected to cycling road that shouldn't require a bicycle but does? Or something else that makes the gate access restriction glitch distinct that isn't shown in the video? [[User:Megalorex|Megalorex]] ([[User talk:Megalorex|talk]])
==AI Glitch in Erika's Gym==
When fighting any trainer in Erika's gym in Pokemon Blue, if the player's active Pokemon is Ivysaur and the opposing trainer's Pokemon knows Poison Powder, the opposing Pokemon will ''only'' use Poison Powder (which has no effect on Ivysaur) every turn until the player knocks it out. Presumably this also occurs with Bulbasaur and Venusaur; I have not tested with other grass or poison Pokemon, and have not yet tested in Red or Yellow. I'm guessing the AI is programmed to give poisoning the player's Pokemon a higher priority than any other move, and does not take into account if the target is immune. The decision may be affected by the Ivysaur's level. [[User:Thelonesoldier|Thelonesoldier]] ([[User talk:Thelonesoldier|talk]]) 18:08, 3 October 2016 (UTC)
:Poison is super effective against Grass (Ivysaur's Type 1). That's how the "smart" AI works in Gen 1 (most known example is Dragonair's Agility vs Poison and Psychic Pokémon). --[[User:Froggy25|Froggy25]] ([[User talk:Froggy25|talk]]) 21:04, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
== Was "Indoors fishing oversight" really fixed in Pokémon Yellow? ==
Yesterday I tried to fish in [[Cerulean Gym]] in Pokémon Yellow, and I succeeded. (See [[:zh:File:华蓝道馆 钓鱼.png|this picture]] in Chinese 52poké wiki.) So I doubt if this glitch was really fixed in Pokémon Yellow? ——[[User:Xzonn|'''''<span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva;">xzonn</span>''''']]([[User Talk:Xzonn|Guestbook]]) 00:14, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
:According to the [[Cerulean Gym]] page, the Old Rod and Good Rod work, but the Super Rod doesn't. If you can confirm that, feel free to correct this page. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 04:04, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
::I've tried in the game. It seems that you're right. Thanks for your answer.--[[User:Xzonn|'''''<span style="font-family: Monotype Corsiva;">xzonn</span>''''']]([[User Talk:Xzonn|Guestbook]]) 10:41, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
:::If you could double-check Lorelei's room while you're at it and correct that on the page (if it is incorrect), that would be helpful too. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 11:14, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
== Ditto glitch ==
I noticed that neither the article nor the discussion mention this glitch. If the player follows certain procedures, the player can get a wild Pokemon of whatever species he/she wants. I don't know enough about the glitch to add a complete section, so I just wanted to make sure the people who read this page are aware of its existence. These are my sources. http://pokemondb.net/pokebase/277756/ditto-glitch-guide-help?show=277756#q277756 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_mMUZgeSNQ [[User:Sumwun|sumwun]] ([[User talk:Sumwun|talk]]) 20:04, 27 February 2017 (UTC)
:The Ditto glitch is covered on the [[Mew glitch]] page. I've never been a fan of that title (the glitch community most commonly calls it the Trainer-Fly glitch), but I've never had a chance to restructure and rename it. --[[User:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#A70000">'''Snorlax'''</span>]][[User talk:SnorlaxMonster|<span style="color:#0000A7">'''Monster'''</span>]] 01:27, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
