:This is likely because the Pokemon White version of your game believes you are playing the game on a flash card or emulator. Although it may seem as though this is a glitch, it is actually an Anti-Piracy feature built into the game to discourage pirating of the game (or in other words, playing the game but not playing it on its game cartridge).
