Should I move this to "List of alternate colored Pokémon in the anime"? That way, Pink Butterfree could be included. --<font color="FF1111">Cu</font><font color="deab79">bo</font><font color="28E228">ne</font><font color="FF1111">King</font> 18:05, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

:Agreed. It should be moved. We have many other Pokémon that should be mentioned. Why is this suggested to be moved over to shiny pokemon in the anime? EVERY SINGLE POKÉMON IN THE ORANGE ISLAND ARC WAS ALTERNATELY COLORED NOT SHINY. Just sounds like a stupid idea. Zxcvbnm370 (talk) 17:05, 16 September 2012 (UTC)
:Who suggested a move back to "List of shiny Pokémon in the anime" and WHY? Changing it to the Split template so it actually makes sense*. -<span style="color:lightbrown">EVs</span><small><span style="color:black">and</span></small><span style="color:green">IVsaurs</span> 14:15, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

:On the flip side of the coin, keep in mind that the episode in question, while very late in the Orange Islands arc (late enough in said arc to be part of season 3 in the dub, despite what Bulbapedia's warped standards on seasons, as well as more recent popular belief, imply; the theme song defines an arc, not a season), is still a Generation I-era episode, hence the game's alternate-coloration standards wouldn't apply to it.  Hence it could technically qualify as a slight color variation, given that this IS the Orange Islands after all...

:My 2¢:  Let the war room look this over and make a judgment, then allow time for it to be implemented properly.  It just might turn out in your favor (I'd go ahead and say the odds favor you).  --Shiningpikablu252 16:27, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

How about we create a separate page for the actual shinies, and leave this page to deal with the anime-exclusive alternate colored stuff?  The shiny section of this page would consist of "Main article: List of Shiny Pokémon in the anime" or something like that.  If this is acceptible, I could get going on this right now.  <small>- unsigned comment from [[User:Missingno. == Pink switch removal ==
I don't agree with the removal of the switch for the Pink Pokemon. Yes, the current image depicts some of the Pokemon listed, but the switch helps show the rest. And it is a much better solution than listing each Pink Pokemon individually. It works for the Valencian Pokemon, so I don't see why it can't be the same for the Pink Pokemon. <small><span style="color:white; background-color:#007FFF">X</span><span style="color:#007FFF; background-color:white">Vuvuzela2010</span><span style="color:white; background-color:#007FFF">X</span></small> 20:59, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
Pikachu-colored Pichu?
Pikachu-colored Pichu is male, how do we know?Prinben 20:03, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
:It's a male in the games, but it's never confirmed in the anime. Removed. <small><small><span style="color:black; background-color:yellow">Vuvuzela2010</span></small></small><span style="color:black; background-color:yellow">⚡</span> 20:12, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
::I see no reason why its gender would be different from the games' PCP. I mean, the PCP that cameoed in the Anime is clearly a reference to the games' one, which is male. Why would they go through the trouble changing its gender? It seems pointless to me, considering it's just a cameo and it never appeared in the show itself. - Ericss 04:59, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
Baby Kangaskhan
I was not sure whether to post this but baby Kangaskhans are the color of a adult shiny Kangaskhans so do you reckon that baby Kangaskhan would be counted as shiny because so far its still classed as a Kangaskhan. Kybett98 01:22, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
:What most likely happens is that the color changes as it ages. Something like an animal shedding its skin. Ataro 01:51, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
Yes that is a possibility but perhaps it should be added because its only a possibility Kybett98 15:09, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Dwebble
I dont think Dwebble belongs on this page since the Dwebble is not actually alternately colored. But i feel like people should know about his other rocks perhaps a page called something like "Rocks Dwebbles inhabit" or something like that. Kybett98 15:17, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
Green Weedle
Maybe it was a Caterpie? --Abcboy (talk) 04:49, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Wooper
In Season 3 or Episode 150, "No Big Woop", there is a Wooper with a heart on its chest. I wouldn't have said that this counted as alternately coloured until I saw that there was a Spinda in the list for having a heart symbol on it's face. I just thought I'd point this out, rather than change the page itself. Cheers. Brad.ellison (talk) 18:26, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
:I've added it to the page. <small><span style="color:white; background-color:#007FFF">X</span><span style="color:#007FFF; background-color:white">Vuvuzela2010</span><span style="color:white; background-color:#007FFF">X</span></small> 01:49, 23 January 2013 (UTC)
Spinda
I was wondering, does Spinda really belong here? I thought the whole point of Spinda was that they all had different markings due to ashfall, so couldn't one conceivably have a heart-shaped mark on its forehead due to ashfall?--Bardock 08:30, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Reddy/Purple Kecleon
"Kecleon is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings. There is one exception - this Pokémon can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly." Reddy's zigzag pattern remains the correct color, and thus, this is not a case of an alternately colored Pokémon, but of an inherent ability of the species. I could see this arguably being relevant on the Color Change page, but why is it here? EpicDeino (talk) 11:37, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
Red/Corrupted Zygarde 50% (Z2)
Is it right to add it now, as the episode has aired...
