is it necessary to have a column for national dex AND kanto dex numbers?PopcornInsomniac (talk) 20:45, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

I believe the template includes both automatically. --It's Funktastic~!話してください 20:55, 21 May 2013 (UTC)
Like Funk said, the template is coded like that, changing it would affect all pages that use the template.--ForceFire 03:11, 22 May 2013 (UTC)

Fairy-type

Can we mention in the trivia section that the Clefairy and Jigglypuff evolution families had their types changed as of Gen VI? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 02:51, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

No; their type changes are irrelevant to the Kanto Pokédex. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 02:55, 1 March 2016 (UTC)

Fairy-type 2

This article still lists Pokémon such as Clefairy and Jigglypuff as Normal-type... Shouldn't Pokémon that had their type changed to Fairy in Gen VI have their type changed here to reflect that, as the article is "a list of Pokémon in the order dictated by the Kanto regional Pokédex" and not a list of Pokémon as they appeared in that Pokédex? (This goes for lists of Pokédexes Gen 2-5 on the wiki as well.) --Celadonkey 23:48, 13 October 2018 (UTC)

We decided to keep these lists as their normal typing and not have them updated to reflect the status of the games that they appeared in I believe. Since the Kanto Pokedex, only appears (currently) in Gen VI onwards, and no other previous dexes have been included in another game it was decided to leave them until such a point. With the upcoming advent of Let's Go, we will be reexamining this condition depending on how it's handled within the game and whether they decided to do some renumbering or not (such as to introduce evolutions/pre-evolutions etc. It's for the same reasoning that we don't include the Alolan Pokemon in this list, and also why Magnemite has it's secondary Steel type listed. --Spriteit (talk) 00:02, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
That makes sense, thank you for the response. In that case, should the wording of the first sentence be changed? --Celadonkey 00:15, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
On the Regional Dex page, LGPE KDex is separated out from RGBYFRLG KDex. However, both links go to this same page, which only has been updated to include Meltan and Melmetal, and thus gives false information to players of LGPE about Clefairy, Clefable, Jigglypuff, Wigglytuff, and Mr. Mime, and entirely ignores the availability of Alolan forms, which are still included in the local Dex as alternate forms. Either we need to fully update this page and put asterixes next to those types like the National Dex does, or we need a split and disamb. Satosuke (talk) 13:31, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
Split and disambiguation sounds like a better decision, although that is not up to me to decide. Just like the Hoenn, Unova, and Alola Pokédices (not Pokédexes, because the plural of index is indices, not indexes, and Pokédex is a portmanteau of Pokémon (itself a portmanteau of Pocket and Monster) and Index) were split from one version to another (especially the Hoenn one to accommodate type retcons for Ralts and Igglybuff families, for example), the same thing should be done here; the new disamb page should be called List of Pokémon by Kanto Pokédex number (Let's Go) and retcon the types for Clefairy, Jigglypuff, and Mr. Mime. --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 18:47, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
In that case, how would RBY vs. FRLG be treated? There is a, albeit minor, difference between the two indexes. It seems to me like no matter whether we split or not, there's still issues. At this point, there are differences between practically every iteration of each region. To me, creating a separate page for these minor differences would be a bit much. I've seen on other wikis across the Internet these tabs on pages, such as this page. I'm not sure if it's possible on Bulbapedia, but that might be a method to simplify the minor differences between Pokédexes. For example, a page could be titled "List of Pokémon by Hoenn Pokédex number" and have two tabs, one for RSE and one for ORAS. --Celadonkey (talk) 19:12, 2 January 2019 (UTC)
There's no need to split the article, the changes are relatively minor. The listing is still the exact same, albeit with the addition of Meltan and Melmetal. Just change the types and note the change in the trivia, like we already do for Magnemite and Magneton.--ForceFire 03:51, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
Added Fairy-type to the listing, although I'm not confident that I can word the trivia in a clear and concise manner. How would Alola forms be implemented, since they were also in LGPE? --Celadonkey (talk) 03:56, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Alolan forms should definitely be added, though do people think it should go on the main section or the lgpe expansion section?--ForceFire 12:40, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

The expansion section that has been edited in seems good to me. --Celadonkey (talk) 16:43, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Pokemon official artwork

There is some problem with replacing the sprites with Artworks of Pokémon (as already occurs in the National Dex article and in the most recent regional Pokedexes ??? Knight Brazil93 (talk) 18:20, 19 November 2022 (UTC)
