Talk:List of Pokémon Adventures volumes: Difference between revisions

::::It's not really speculative at all, it just shows the planned release schedule and ISBN numbers, and that is fact. Clearly the release schedule they planned has changed, and I make no claims as to wether or not Viz will even release them, because as with anything, future release schedules can change, and things can get cancelled. This is likely what has happened, but it doesn't mean the ISBN numbers can not be used later and as far as i know, there is no requirement or implication that volumes listed here are released or 100% will be, only that a publisher plans to release them. It's not like this is some fake rumor, this is simply Viz showing they intend/intended to release them, and unless otherwise stated, they will at some point. They are on the normal Viz website, but without any info (invalid product codes take you to the home page, while valid hidden ones load the product page, but the info likely isn't on them yet, is the case with these). The date for release is official, but things change, and Viz are terrible at keeping their website working (let alone up to date). The B/W series listing doesn't even exist on their site, you have to find the indivual issues yourself or through their news, and many of the older olvumes and current, don't even have their cover artwork uploaded until after it appears elsewhere, and sometimes even after release. So again, I've yet to see any real argument against this. If this list is to require secondary sources eg. amazon as proof of existance, then just state as much, otherwise it's as official as any Viz release can ever get before it appears elsewhere, so just because apprently the community didn't realise they were already planned for release a while back, and the current community thinking is that those chapters won't to be released anytime soon, doesn't mean the ooopinions of the community has any say in the matter. --Zeal T / C 21:52, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

:::::Where are you not seeing the B&W chapter? i found it on both viz.com and viz kids website in like 5 seconds. I guess my point is, what point is there listing this information if it's so uncertain? And how official is a release date that has passed and has had no book exist...? i'm also not sure where you're getting the facts that VIZ's website is unreliable for release information, since while i have found Amazon generally gets detailed book information before they put it on their own site, all the pages look up to date to me. Anyway, I'm not putting this on the page unless I can believe these actually exist. I wrote to VIZ earlier this afternoon so hopefully we can get this cleared up for real in another day or two. Otherwise, the most I think is needed is a footnote on the respective chapter/volume pages, only if they are confirmed as cancelled (again, see Arceus and the Jewel of Life, the cancelled book isn't listed in the infobox as if it's a real book or future book, just a footnote in trivia as a cancelled translation). There is no point in listing release dates and ISBN information as solid facts when it's unconfirmed, speculative, etc. I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking that the release schedule is planned this far ahead - I recall that the books generally aren't (in)formally announced for real on the release schedule more than two or at the most three ahead. This honestly looks like placeholder/projective pages made at the beginning of the project to me. Anyway, i am hoping to hear from VIZ soon (i have written to them before and gotten replies within less than a week) --Zesty'Cactus 04:32, 26 November 2011 (UTC)

::::::Also, if you notice, the placeholder release date for #15 is about two months after #14 was released. since the books were coming out in two-months-at-a-time intervals, makes sense if they made a bunch of pages way in advance and just projected release dates two months apart. that is just my own speculation though. ::::::Of course it's most likely it's been put on hold indefinitely, but the ISBNs exist, and those are only registered when there is clear intent (past or current) to publish, and that intent is well worth documenting. I think a much better solution would be to put TBA for all releases dates on those issues, with the the documented ones in brackets (as i did for the first one), and have a sentance at the top explaining that is unknown if Viz plan to follow through with the series as of yet.
::::::As to the quality of viz websites:
::::::*Viz.com is missing the series page for B&W, with the link to it pointing only at the home page.
::::::*Nethier Viz.com and VizKids.com are showing volume 5 (on amazon already) and 6 (not on amazon yet) of D/P/P in the series list, but as is always the case, VizKids.com has the full release information for these on their unlinked product pages, while Viz.com also has these pages, but they contain no information other than containing the series info and linking back to the D/P/P series from them.
::::::*The above has been the case in the past for pretty much all volumes and series, and is the same for Volume 15-29 of the original series.
::::::*Viz.com is missing the cover for D/P/P volume 4, yet it is on VizKids.com and amazon.
::::::The difference with me is, I don't think being included in the list, means it's a confirmed projected release time table. This is a wiki, and the list should be for documenting the products planned existance, and it's clear it was planned to exist at some point. All arguments against their existance are purely speculative, while their registration as an ISBN product, and therefore planned existance, is irrefutable and a fact, even if they've changed their mind since.
::::::I'd also like to point out you removed D/P/P volume 6 from the list in undoing my changes. I can apperciate your disbelief at the earlier chapters getting released, but in this case it's a current ongiong series, and so the only reason to claim removal from the list, is that you're indicating that all releases must be verified by a seconary source such as amazon before they can appear here, which is silly, considering amazon usually has the listing after the primary source (viz) has it on their unlinked pages, yet before (viz) have it on their linked pages. It's like not being sure if you did something, and then asking someone else about it, and taking their answer as fact regardless of what the truth is... --Zeal T / C 16:33, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
