Does he seem taller and older in the anime or is that just me? --ケンジ ガール 06:48, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Well I hhaven't seen the episode he's in, but judging from the pic on the page, yea, he does. --Theryguy512 13:50, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree with you. He does look taller and older --Metagross72 04:14, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

English Name

Where exactly on the site was it revealed? tc26 11:17, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Under clearing the obstacles. But it could be some random name they came up with, of course. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links

I really home it's changed. It sounds girly. tc26 11:24, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Hold on...it disappeared...Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links 11:26, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
So, we move it back? It might have been for Hitomi. tc26 11:28, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
I wouldn't wank so much over one little picture. It can be something comparable to the DP rival's name being Damion in official guide. But it is a serious hint about what Hajime's English name can be. There is still a fair chance that this name turns out to be real. Anyway, I hope it does not. This name simply sucks! Sounds girly and stupid (and Colosseum-/XD-ish). I hate the name! --Maxim 12:19, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
V235 of Nintendo Power confirms it: his English name is Kellyn. It's mentioned in both text and screenshots. -- Umbee 14:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
It's actually a variant spelling of a real, masculine, Welsh name: Celyn, which refers to the Holly plant and was born by a Knight in service of King Arthur in the Welsh tradition. This could be a reference to the fact that Kellyn/Hajime serves Almia Castle. Celyn, by the way, was the son of Caw, brother of Huaill (an enemy of Arthur's), brother of Mordred's first wife, and brother of Gildas, the monk who recorded much of the factual information behind Arthur and his 12 Battles. Celyn's Tower, Twr Celyn, was the last stronghold of the Welsh resistance against the English Crown. Yes, it sounds slightly like Cailyn, but that comes from the root of Katherine, and is a completely unrelated name (though it also is a Celtic-form name). Satosuke 06:50, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
But aren't C and K supposed to be two different sounds in Welsh? And doesn't the "ll" digraph have a different pronounciation than single "l" in Welsh? If that's true, it probably disqualifies the possibility as it's completely different sounding name. --Maxim 15:01, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
C and K are actually the same sound; K isn't used in modern Welsh (at least to my knowledge), but its appearance in proto-Celtic is identical to its usage in modern Welsh (see Kernunnos to Cernnwn). As for the spelling, yes, ll is a different sound from l. However, the letters have been interchanged in the past; and they're more related sounds than say, m and f; which have definite corollations (see Fawr and Mawr; both mean "the Great" or "the Mighty"; it is also related to the mh making a v-sound in Irish, though that's a different branch of the Celtic-language group). Llyr, the Sea-God, has been seen with corollations of Lír, the Irish Sea God and also King Lear from Shakespeare (though that was a mistake on the behalf of Monmouth; King Lear's story and past is actually more similar to the Sea God Nudd, who has been written as Lludd and Ludd as well, and their similar roles caused Llyr and Lludd to be confused). So Ll and L are not unrelated terms. Remember also that English Pokémon character names are oft to have weird, alternate spellings of real names. I would think that Celyn is a more close target in terms of sound and meaning that the feminine name derived from the Irish elements Kelly and Lyn. Satosuke 15:55, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Deleted?

The source wasn't deleted. It is still there. The flash animation just has problems loading at Firefox (at least to me) but when I launched it from IE, everything worked perfectly and the screen was still there! --Maxim 18:14, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

Firefox updates it cache. For IE, you have to self reset. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links
Um... what? What does it have to do with it? The source DID NOT get deleted. The screen with Kellyn's name is STILL there! --Maxim 08:37, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
No, actually, it's the cache. If you press Ctrl+F5, I think it'll disappear soon enough. Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links
It's still there. Are you sure we mean the same screen? --Maxim 11:41, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

It is there. In the Spanish website [1] we can see English captures, the same image, bigger, and other one. "Kellyn" is explicity there --Nick. 03:17, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

If you want to see the UK page (the same thing in English) [2]--Nick. 00:59, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon Japanese Website link

Does anybody know why it appears that there is a lot of space between the link and the period in the first sentence under "Trivia"? I tried to see if I could change it, but the space seems to be part of the link. R.A. Hunter B. 20:08, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

There shouldn't be a space, but an icon of an arrow that is impossible to highlight or otherwise manipulate. You browser must not be displaying it for some reason.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 22:07, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Ok. I can see where the arrow should be when I highlight it. Thanks. R.A. Hunter B. 03:24, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Name Meaning: Kellyn

So I looked it up, apparantly it is a name. According to this website, it is actually a female name from the combination of Kelly and Lyn. Kelly however is a unisex name of Gaelic origin meaing "War; strife; bright-headed." The name Lyn comes out as a list of other names that are contracted to Lyn, both male and female. So is his English name origin trivia worthy? --Outrage DD 23:53, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Um... why would they name him Kellyn if it's a girls name? I say yes it should be trivia... R.A. Hunter B. 20:27, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Who knows, I;ll have to think up an elegant way to put all that information in (though being a female name is probably negligible info). Besides, Kellyn could have been a combination of a male and a unisex name, hence the usage on a male character--Outrage DD 23:12, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Well... I'm seeing a pattern in the Pokémon franchise. Guys are getting girlier as the years go by (Harley, Kellyn, the numerous times guys have dressed as girls). The crossdressing is what bothers me the most... not so much names. R.A. Hunter B. 03:43, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
The Cross dressing was only prominant in the early seasons so I have no idea what you are talking about. If you list Harley with Kellyn I assume you are also talking about his name aswell, and Harley is unisex. --Outrage DD 21:39, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
At least we hope he's a unisex.... R.A. Hunter B. 00:50, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Voice Actor

WHo is it is it Scottie Ray or Michael Sinterniklaas cause someone wrote that in the DP071 article Livinlarge18 20:34, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

It's Scottie Ray. It sounds like him. And he was in the credits at the top of the list. Usually the one at the top of the guest list is voicing the main guest character which is Kellyn. I didn't see Michael Sinterniklaas' name in the credits. --ケンジガール 20:37, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
