If you look to the far left of the region you can clearly see Stonehenge. This shows Britain was an inspiration as well and points towards Kalos drawing on multiple European countries and not just France - although admittedly France heavily referenced. Also the islands at the top of the country are most likely meant to be the Channel Islands, which are British as well.
