Wow, the formatting is horrid. Any way to stack those?--BJG
This is really the bst we can do at the moment with mass-learned moves, I believe. Any more specific problems with the page format? evkl 10:22, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
I haven't been able to check how well the list boxes behave in IE - if they don't work as expected, what will result is a vertical stack of bordered boxes, which admittedly doesn't look very nice. - 振霖T 10:39, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
I just checked what it looks like in IE, they display as a horizontal row of boxes, also Ho-oh is split into 3 lines, screenshot - MTC 10:42, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
Internet Explorer strikes again! Sigh. - Ferret 10:54, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
Actually, a JavaScrip bot should probably be able to replace data such as class="listcol" and replace with some nicer stuff like style="bla".I could probably do that. It's not actually that hard. Coppro 22:32, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
The Ho-oh thing is to do with word-wrapping. (IE thinks a hyphen is a good place to wrap words, other browsers don't.) A Javascript solution is a bit extreme. All we need to do is to write alternate CSS for IE users. - 振霖T 07:49, 10 May 2005 (UTC) ZellMurasame 02:59, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
I was thinking a JavaScript that modidfied the contents of each page, as opposed to one directly inside the page. The thing is that JavaScript is good at sneaking this stuff in if run from a frame-based page. I wasn't thinking of integrated scripts. Also, what language is BulbaBot? Coppro 20:59, 10 May 2005 (UTC)
No.Do not change the content. Especially do not change the class back into a style. It's easier to manage them that way. There are thousands of these list boxes on hundreds of pages, with a class you can have all of them behave the same way. FYI, BulbaBot is PHP. - 振霖T 06:53, 11 May 2005 (UTC)
Yeah I say leave it for now;unless you want me to hyper beam you all into oblivion.User:Agent008

Doesnt Ash's Kingler use hyper beam when he's in his first pokemon league? --Itxi 01:01, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

The line "It can be learned via TM by all fully-evolved Pokémon that can learn TMs" taken from this article is false. Girafarig is fully evolved yet is unable to learn either Hyper Beam or Giga Impact. There could be more Pokemon like this, but the quoted line definitely needs to be rewritten. --ZellMurasame 22:23, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

...in which, Girafarig might NOT be fully evolved. Who knows. Tina δ 22:29, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
"...including Pokémon that were fully evolved at one point (such as Porygon or Seadra)." I didn't realize Porygon2, Porygon-Z and Kingdra existed! --ZellMurasame 02:59, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to GSC. :) Orange 03:17, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

I dont get it. in the anime, all fully evolved pokemon can learn hyper beam and giga impact, but only sevral in the games. why/--Tomas 16:32, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Movelearning data

Venonat and Kabuto could learn it from TM, then lost that ability in Gen2.

Dratini and Dragonair and Larvitar and Pupitar and Trapinch and Vibrava and Metang and Nuzleaf and Remoraid can learn Hyper Beam but not Giga Impact.

Stantler has Giga Impact but not Hyper Beam.

That's the report. --Raijinili 04:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Pic Overload

Anyone agree in reducing the number of pics for the page? We have more than 20 pics in there!! Jmath 06:23, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

I agree. We should get rid of the "charging up" images. Chocolate 15:35, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
Definitely, this and Shadow Ball(?)--KukiTalk 15:37, 26 October 2008 (UTC)
There aren't nearly as many images on Shadow Ball, but charging up-style images aren't really needed at all. Chocolate 15:43, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

Power?

Is it true that Hyperbeam is the most powerful attack. It doesn't sound right to me, but if not, could somebody make a list of more powerful attacks?--Qim1 20:02, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

Defense Halved?

I don't recall ever hearing about defense being halved by this move in Generation I before I read it here, and from my experience I don't think it sounds right. That would make it actually stronger than SelfDestruct in this Generation. Could anyone verify this? Schreiber 22:42, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

I'm also doubting that information... Where does this defense lowered thing come from?

Lance

Should it be noted somewhere that it is the signature move of Lance? Don Lark Kiin

No. Just because a certain trainer commonly uses a move does not mean that it is 'his signature move'. If you would like to know the correct usage of the term Signature move, please look here thank you. --GEN1KING 07:49, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
