Question

Can someone tell me how Chansey or Snubbull learned Heal Bell in GenII through breeding when the only Pokémon who learned it were Miltank (a Pokémon that is a female only species and therefore cannot pass down moves) and Celebi (a Pokémon who cannot breed at all cause it is a legendary)? The irony is that Chansey is also a female only Pokémon. So what happened? A Miltank and a Chansey/Blissey had a baby? Unless there is a explanation I think it should be fixed. No Pokémon should be able to learn Heal Bell through breeding in GenII. --ケンジガール 05:00, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps it was gleaned from the game data, which doesn't always make complete sense?--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 05:14, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Does Heal Bell cure the Party Pokémon?

It may be a stupid question but according to the in-game text, it cures all the party Pokémon and not only the Pokémon that are on the user's side during a battle. I just didn't want to correct the text before this is cleared. PokemonHexagon 18:12, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

I think that "on the user's side" means all Pokémon in the player's party, but it should be reworded to be clearer. Pikiwyn talk 18:28, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

Generation 2?

I just tested Heal Bell in Pokemon Gold (original) and it indeed healed the entire party of statuses, rather than just the user as the page claims. Anyone else want to verify/ edit it onto the page? [[User:Parallel|Parallel] (talk) 21:06, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Regarding the research template on the page (Heal Bell and the ally's inactive Pokémon)

I did some testing and it worked the same way as Aromatherapy did, it healed the ally's inactive Pokémon. Because of the way the sentence is written, I think it would be better if the MoveResearch template is removed and the rest of the article is left as it is, because it still lets the reader imagine that the move also works on his ally's inactive Pokémon.

I'm doing the same's with Aromatherapy.

text

When used in gen 8, the text "A bell chimed!" is shown before healing the Pokémon. I don't know if this message was displayed in earlier generations. Should this text be added to the page (as some other moves that display specific messages have those messages listed), and if so, where? --Xigzagoon (talk) 17:35, 4 September 2020 (UTC)
