There was a guy in front of the door, but he disappeared after the souveneir shop thing. Pryces article said that he couldn't be battled until you defeat Team Rocket in their headquarters, but now i'm confused as to whether it meant the thing i did, or another event later in the game. In HG/SS, you can battle Chuck, Jasmine, and Pryce in any order you choose. Due to the fact that the road splits after Morty, you can battle any of the three in any order you want. I personally battled Jasmine before Chuck. It all depends on where you want to go. If you are not sure which way to go, look at the Pokegear and the strategy guide if you have it. If there is a Pokemon you want, (because you might still be building your party to how you want it) then go the path that leads you there the quickest. In Kanto, I went the route suggested and beat 4 Gyms in one day and 3 the next. It was all based on my thought process at the time. It is like so many things in Pokemon, it is all based on decision. | |||
