At least I didn't get the nickname way to work. I tried every starter Pokémon and gave the nickname " " (I understood that meant one space) and saw no distortion in Gary battle nor in a wild Pokémon battle. I used an English Pokémon Red ROM. Why does the image need to be replaced? What's wrong with using the generation II image versus one from generation I?{{unsigned|Joeshie}}
:It was from generation II, where it can only happen via cheating device. An image where it occurs without a [[cheating]] device is preferred.
