Am I alone in seeing the similarities between Gligar and the [[wp:Facehugger|Facehugger]] from the movie [[wp:Alien (film)|Alien]]? Not only is the design a typically-pokémonified version of the Facehugger, but many of its Pokédex entries specifically mention its propensity for latching onto its prey's face. About the only difference whatsoever is that it doesn't lay its eggs down your throat, it just injects a poison.
