Starter Pokémon

I can confirm beyond the shadow of a doubt that your Pokemon doesn't have to be your starter (or even have you as it's OT) to learn Frenzy Plant and the like. I started a LeafGreen about a year ago, and played through it as if it was Yellow. That is, I traded off my Starter for a Pokemon holding a Light Ball and gave it to a Pikachu I caught in Viridian Forest. When I got to Cerulean, I traded a Bulbasaur to my game that had been chosen as a starter in a different game. Same when I got to Nugget Bridge, and beat Surge for Charmander and Squirtle. Now, when I got to Two Island, ALL THREE of them could learn and did learn their respective moves. I should note that my offical starter (the one I chose and traded off as soon as I got Pikachu) was Charmander, and the Charmander I used wasn't even that same Charmander. All it requires is a high enough happiness from the final forms of the Kanto Starters, not that they are the Pokemon you chose at the beginning of the game.

Bleh, that's a lot of text. In I just bolded the important part.

That's interesting. Did you also confirm the final starter part? I have seen on some sites that the non-final stages can also learn the move. - 振霖T 07:53, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Well, the Johto starters can learn their represive moves in XD. -Groudon465File:Ani383MS.gifFile:Ani201MS.gif 12:35 p.m. 12 October 2007 (CT)

Strongest Grass Attack

I thought Solar Beam was the strongest grass attack but comparing its base power with that of Frenzy Plant, isn't Frenzy Plant the strongest grass-attack?--Jmath 11:16, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes, and it has been since FRLG. Zurqoxn 17:34, 12 October 2007 (UTC)
