Just noticed this fighting a wild Scrafty in White 2... if you put a Pokémon that knows Focus Punch to sleep, you'll still get the charge-up animation and "_____ is tightening its focus!" at the start of the turn even though the Pokémon is asleep! It doesn't even depend on whether the Pokémon is going to wake up that turn or not--I saw it happen two turns in a row when the Scrafty didn't wake up at the end of the turn. Should this be mentioned somewhere (as a glitch, or at least an oddity?) Also, does this happen in previous/later generations too or just a B/W/B2/W2 (or even just B2/W2) thing? Does the "charging turn" of Focus Punch cancel the effect of [[Destiny Bond]] like normal positive-priority skills (Quick Attack, Snatch, etc.) do? | |||
Destiny Bond's effect lasts until the user makes its next move, regardless of speed or turn order; but does the charging of Focus Punch count as a move, or only the actual attack counts? | |||
E.g.: | |||
* Turn 1: User uses Destiny Bond; enemy makes a move. (Order doesn't matter.) | |||
* Turn 2: User selects Focus Punch, message displays; enemy knocks out user before Focus Punch activates. | |||
