Could someone add this to the page? --Mine4017 (talk) 20:49, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Also, Japanese: フェスコイン Festival Coin (FC). Other abbreviations are FC for English as well, FP for French, FM for German and Spanish, FG for Italian. Nescientist (talk) 20:01, 5 October 2016 (UTC)
Also could somone add the Polish name for Festival Plaza: Plac Festiwal and Festival Coin: Monet Festiwal. --Raltseye prata med mej 14:27, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Are those the "neutral" declensions of what's used by Nintendo Poland? glikglak 15:04, 6 October 2016 (UTC)
Yep. :) --Raltseye prata med mej 15:19, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Single Star Dye House Pricing When Using Berries

Though it's a small detail, I thought it would be worth mentioning since it's a question mark on the main page. At least in my game and likely others, dyeing at a single star dye house using berries costs 10 FC like at the other levels for the same service. I'd edit it myself, but I'd rather be certain it's okay to do so first. Shadowkat777 (talk) 06:21, 21 December 2016 (UTC)

Fortune Tent Phrases

We should list all the Common Phrases unlocked by Fortune-Teller Tents. Serebii has listed six of them, but not those from Pokémon House. I own one and have unlocked 15 of 16 phrases: —TheVeryBest 19:51, 26 December 2016 (UTC)

  1. It's super effective!
  2. It's not very effective.
  3. It doesn't affect the Pokémon...
  4. I whited out!
  5. I blacked out!
  6. There's nothing funny about Nuggets.
  7. The power of science is awesome.
  8. 1, 2, and... Ta-da!
  9. How's the future Champ today?
  10. Why, you!
  11. There! All happy and healthy!
  12. Your Pokémon seems to be very happy!
  13. No thanks!
  14. Would you like to use Cut?
  15. Saving...
Just in case: please keep in mind that stealing from Serebii is not acceptable under any circumstances. Tiddlywinks (talk) 20:01, 26 December 2016 (UTC)
It's content from the games, not Serebii. We should still independently verify all the phrases, but 6/7ths of that work has already been done, and I wrote out 15/16 of the rest. —TheVeryBest 19:51, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
Serebii does not allow us to use his content even if we independently verify it. The only acceptable approach is to start from scratch, treating it as if 0/7ths of the work had been done. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:56, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
It is the games' content, not his. All he did was discover some and compile the rest, likely from others, which is exactly what we do at Bulbapedia. We're not using his code, his formats, his descriptions, nothing. He did not create Pokémon Sun and Moon. Regardless, they belong here, and I have personally seen "Smell ya later!", "You better have Burn Heal!", "Shwahhn!", and the 15 I listed. Here's another site with a few too. This site lists the 6 main houses (video autoplay disclaimer). —TheVeryBest 19:40, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
This is really pretty simple: if you can (and do) figure all that stuff out on your own, then please feel free to add it. Don't just trust/copy Serebii, though. Tiddlywinks (talk) 19:46, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
He does not own the content of Sun and Moon, but he does own any typoes/mistakes that he has made. If we reproduce those, we're in trouble. That's why we can't use his work as a baseline. Even if we double check it, mistakes could still slip through the cracks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 00:28, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
Okay, so, back to the original question; should we list all the phrases you can obtain from each of the tents? I can see value in that. As a side note, the first few phrases User:IWannaBeTheVeryBest has listed come with the game, all the way to "I blacked out!", I believe. From there you have the new phrases. --Song of the Dragon (talk) 03:15, 10 February 2017 (UTC)

Two Star Soft Drink Parlor

In my game they just sell two of each of the sets. I'd add it but I'm not sure how to indicate that. I think just duplicating it looks a bit weird but I'd rather let someone better versed at wiki editing make that call. Salix (talk) 22:55, 6 January 2017 (UTC)

I have a three star drink shop and all it sells are three of each set. How should this be depicted? Jazama (talk) 00:36, 7 January 2017 (UTC)
My three star drink shop sells 3 of each set too.
If I may suggest: the 3 star column could have all three drink sets in it. Each set would be on its own line, and their corresponding FC costs, amounts, and icons could just follow on the right as per usual. Also there could be a "3x" before each drink to indicate that there are 3 of each set being sold. The previous star drink parlor sets could be updated with "2x" or "1x" to indicate how much of each are being sold as well. Cooler110033 (talk) 08:12, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Dying with berries

The page seems to say that any dye shop can dye items pastel with berries, and any 3-star and up dye shop can dye them dark colors with berries. I have two dye shops in my game, one with one star and one with three. The one-star one can dye items pastel with berries, but the three star one can only dye items dark (not pastel) with berries. Do we know which level shops can dye items with berries? Can one- and two-star shops do pastel and three-star and up do dark colors? Or is it something weird in my game? Is it only one- and three-star shops that can dye items any color with berries? slimey01 04:18, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I just got a five-star dye house, and it'll let me dye anything either dark colors or pastel colors. But I still don't know about two- and four-star shops. Does anyone else have either level dye shop, and if so, would you be willing to see which colors you can use berries to get? slimey01 00:18, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
I guess my assumption is one- and two-star shops can do pastel, three- and four-stars can do dark, and five stars can do either. Could anyone confirm? slimey01 00:19, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Dye houses should only have 1/3/5 star variants.
I've only had a 1- and a 5-star dye house myself, so it's possible I was wrong about what happens in between. When I had Team Purple ★★★★★, I wrote "Pastel Purple, Bright Purple, Dark Purple, (White), (All dark/pastel colors from Berries)". It's been a while and I don't remember this well so that's a bit confusing even to me, ^^; but I think that matches what you're saying your 5-star dye house had.
I couldn't guess that the 3-stars wouldn't be able to do pastel colors from Berries, but if it turns out that's how it is, then I was just wrong. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:00, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Somehow, it seems I may not have actually been the one who wrote that 3-star houses could dye dark colors from Berries. But it's also not really important who did, so who knows for now. Anyway, it should be fixed. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:10, 20 February 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for the fix! That looks a lot better to me. slimey01 02:45, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

Which items can be dyed?

Do we have a definitive list of items that can be dyed at the dye shops? I know you can't dye accessories, and I've found that you can't dye the flower-print top. I don't have all the items in my game to check (plus I can't check the male items), so maybe someone could go through them all to see which ones can be dyed? slimey01 04:18, 18 February 2017 (UTC)

Facility Exclusivity?

Would it be possible to make it a little bit clearer how certain facilities are exclusive to either Sun or Moon? Having only a superscript "S" or "M" next to them doesn't really explain it all too well. Awesomesauce210 (talk) 01:12, 10 June 2017 (UTC)

Requesting Editing for Visibility

In the graphs featuring items in the various shops, the graph uses a light-red background to highlight items that become available after becoming the champion. This clashes with the signifier with shops exclusive to Sun, which is given an orange superscript S. I suggest changing the light-red background to light-green so it doesn't clash with either the Sun or Moon superscript. I would do it myself, but I don't know how well it would go over me being new to the site. Also don't know if light-green would be good for color-blind users. I'll leave it to someone else. Levy Wilson (talk) 19:37, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

I finally remembered this/pulled it off the back burner... Just to explain a bit, I went with yellow for now because IMO green doesn't feel quite right. I don't think yellow clashes that badly with Sun, but just in case, Bulba color is a good option if necessary. Tiddlywinks (talk) 01:43, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Fortune Teller phrases in other languages?

Nearly two years ago, someone suggested listing here all "common phrases" unlocked by fortune-teller tents. But so far, none has been listed here, nor have I seen here an article listing all phrases. Not only should such phrases in English be listed here in Bulbapedia (either in this article or other), but also their versions in other languages should be listed (preferably as a separate article with a title like "List of unlockable Festival Plaza phrases in other languages" or similar). SilSinn (Pokémon Sun Trainer ID: 768426) (talk) 05:38, 16 November 2018 (UTC)

Having other languages for all that is overkill. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:01, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
I don't think it's overkill. The total number of moves in Generation VII alone, that is real overkill, since there are many more moves in Generation VII than there are tent-unlockable phrases, yet there is a List of moves in other languages, so why not a List of unlockable Festival Plaza phrases in other languages? In terms of bytes, I don't think it would exceed the size of the moves article, and since this is an online Pokémon encyclopedia (as opposed to a fan-dom like that other website I am not going to name here), it would be very appropriate to include such an article here. But of course it would require cooperation from our foreign-language contributors. SilSinn (Pokémon Sun Trainer ID: 768426) (talk) 21:25, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
Just because we have lists—even very big lists—for one thing that doesn't mean we have to have them for everything.
There's no reason for such a list for these phrases. They're a very minor part of the game. Moves are a core part of the game. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:59, 17 November 2018 (UTC)
Minor part??? I think, and I bet many Bulbapedians will think, that phrases are an important part, no matter how minor.
Why don't we put this in an online poll and see whether the majority think like me or like you. If the majority in the poll think such a list deserves to exist, then its creation will be warranted; if, on the other hand, only a minority in the poll see the list as important, then nothing will be done about it and we keep going on as if nothing happened. Agreed? SilSinn (Pokémon Sun Trainer ID: 768426) (talk) 00:27, 18 November 2018 (UTC)
There's absolutely no reason this very page can't serve that exact function... If people wish to chime in, it's really not that hard. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:40, 18 November 2018 (UTC)

Fortune-Teller Common Phrases in all languages (draft article)

I just wrote a draft article in my userspace listing all common phrases unlocked by the fortune-teller tents in Festival Plaza, in all nine official languages of S/M/US/UM:

It is not yet ready to go into mainspace because the Korean romanizations provided by Google Translate look iffy to me (it romanizes final S as “s” when common practice is to romanize it instead as “t”, and all R as “l” when only final R should become “l”), so I had to make some fixes to the Korean romaja. But they might still need some polishing, so even though the article resides in my userspace, I invite anyone with proper knowledge of Korean to correct any iffy Korean romanizations there. Also, if the table layout needs some improvement (like, for example, splitting the table into a group of tables according to whether the phrases are unlocked by Pokémon House, Kanto Tent, Johto Tent, etc.), I will greatly welcome it.

Once Korean romaja gets fixed and any layout issues sorted out, we might consider whether moving it from my userspace into the mainspace. Thankee all! --SilSinn (Pokémon Sun TID: 768426; Pokémon Ultra Moon TID: 123446) (talk) 01:04, 3 December 2018 (UTC)
