Façade?

On the GTS website, the move is listed as Façade, instead of as Facade. Move? TTEchidna 07:48, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

It's listed as Facade in the game text. I am pretty sure it is listed like that in the official game guides and such also. I think it may be listed the way it is on the GTS site because that it is an international site. Trainer-c 08:02, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

Not so. I just checked the move list in every strategy guide I own (which is nearly all of them). In the guides, it's consistantly spelt "Facade" (save one instance in a Prima guide, where it has lists for both battle moves and contest moves. One has a tail, one doesn't. Prima should also be noted for its general inaccuracy and all around suck). --DarkfireTaimatsu 08:08, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

That is what I had intended to post originally, but the first part of my message was on the end of the OP due to my mis-spacing. Thanks for confirming that the guides do indeed have the move listed as "Facade" Trainer-c 08:35, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

At the very least, then... redirect! TTEchidna 08:43, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

With Burn

The burn condition cuts attack in half. Does this mean when using Facade the power is effectively 70 instead of 140? — THE TROM — 01:02, 2 December 2008 (UTC)

We don't figure stat changes into base power calculations.--Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 02:16, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Yes, but if the pokemon has guts then the burn condition doesnt effect the pokemonDCM((曲奇饼妖怪Spy on My Edits))

Glitch

So I'm battling the Elite Four, right? In HeartGold, yeah? I got this Umbreon, see? He knows Facade, got it? I use it repeatedly 'cause it's his best move, y'know? Check this out: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]

I'm sure I noticed this happening in the match with Karen too. Crazy, yeahp.

PS don't judge my Umbreon BP 10:24, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

The white patches? Are you sure that's not a problem with the hardware or something? Similarly, it might be a fault with your game cartridge, rather than the move you're using. —darklordtrom 10:51, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
No no, not that, that's the reflection of light shining in from a window. My Umbreon's back sprite kept rising by one or two pixels with every use of Facade, see that? It only becomes apparent after you use it many times since the very bottom of the sprite is normally a few pixels past the lower edge of the screen. BP 22:57, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Sleeping effect

I know you normally can't attack whenever asleep, but I do have one question; does Facade double in power if you use it through Sleep Talk? Or is it programmed so that only works for Par/Psn/Brn? If not, I guess that could be noted somewhere. Yurtablemoron 01:37, 12 March 2011 (UTC)

Z-Move

It is only one move that can be worse as Z-Move. Facade + Burn is 140 power and Z-Facade is 140 + Burn effect--Dominikololo (talk) 13:33, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Explosion is always weaker as a Z-move. Brine, Stored Power, Stomping Tantrum, etc. can be weaker as Z-moves if their power-boosting conditions are met. And then there are moves that have different type (matchups) or damage calculation as Z-moves like Hidden Power, Freeze-Dry, Seismic Toss, and Mirror Coat.--Den Zen 16:41, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
