Can someone please get a picture without the text and the logo on it? --ケンジガール 00:00, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Trivia

If and When Swinub evolves all the way (Mamoswine) I think it should be noted that it is the second Pokemon of hers that evolved by learning a move. The first was when Aipom learned double hit and evolved, which I'm sure they'll do with (Piloswine) and ancientpower. --Dman dustin 05:38, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Ok...it would have been noted anyway.

----HoennMaster 06:41, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, wait until it actually does so, undoubtedly sometime between here and Sunyshore. TTEchidna 08:15, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
It will also be the second Pokémon of the main characters that evolve by learning the move AncientPower, the first being Jessie's Yanmega.-Billy4b2004 11:17, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Take Down???

Swinub used Take Down? It looked more like Double-Edge if you ask me. Remember when Brock's Sudowoodo used Double-Edge, it was surrounded (or followed) by a yellow trail?

I'd say it's Double-Edge, not Take Down. Dilophosaurus Rex

You say look, but watch the episode and take down the name. It's the Θρtιmαtum♏Talk|Links11:06 4 Jul 2008

Take Down?? Double-edge? I only knows that Swinub glows yellow/white only when it tackles the target, but Sudowoodo tackles the foe and beam appears behind it. Dong 13:35, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

English Voice Actor

Kayzie Rogers will voice her Swinub since she did in both 4Kids Entertainment and Pokémon USA dubs Livinlarge18 01:26, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Since it's not confirmed for sure, I don't think it should be put on the article until the dub airs.- spontaneousCombusken 01:35, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

IT IS 17 EPPYS AWAY!! Y R WE TALKIN ABOUT IT NOW???--KukiTalk 01:39, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Japanese voice?

who Dawn's Swinub Japanese voice?

We don't know as Swinub wasn't listed in the credits. Yet they can list other Pokémon voices that we already freakin know about... Stupid directors. --ケンジガール 02:07, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
But truly, they're not stupid are they...~Pokemaniac102 02:09, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
Nah. I'm just venting... --ケンジガール 02:15, 14 July 2008 (UTC)

Kenta Miyake?

To me it doesn't sound like it's voiced by a man. Was there a source that said this? Cause it sure wasn't PokeAni. --ケンジガール 18:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

help

This is the third time a main character captures a Pokémon to stop them from continuously eating food. First, Ash captured his Snorlax to stop it from eating all the grapefruit in a small island range in the Orange Islands, and second, May captures a Munchlax to take responsibility for its constant eating of trainer's Pokéblocks and berries. i want to add this to Dawn's Swinub trivia tell me how?Kikibabygirl28 20:45, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Well, this might not be really needed. Swinub is already compared to Munchlax. And what do you mean by how?--Tavisource 21:04, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
May and Dawn didn't catch Munchlax and Swinub, respectively, to get them to stop eating. Only Ash did that with Snorlax. May and Dawn just wanted a new Pokémon. --ケンジガー ル 21:22, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

When?

did swinub use Ice Beam? Happizelpom 04:40, 25 July 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Several sources say it was used in the 11th movie. Personally, I think it should be left out until the movie's DVD release in December. ~RR~ 23:17, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

Wait... What?

When did that happen? I don't think the episode aired yet. --ケンジガール 10:29, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

So it aired one hour earlier? And DP106 can also be unprotected now!-Billy4b2004 10:33, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
It should have, I think, judging by the time differences. I think it's almost NZ time and we're onto December 5 (in 23 minutes). — THE TROM — 10:38, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Normally, the ep should air in in around 10:30/11:00 if I'm not mistaken but since it's a one-hour special. I think it is normal for it to air earlier.-Billy4b2004 10:40, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
It always airs at 7PM JST... It's Naruto that is being pushed back to 8PM. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 10:41, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I see.-Billy4b2004 10:43, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Which ep did it evolve in? 104 or 105? --Force Fire talk 10:44, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

I want to ask this question too! The same statement appear in the two ep pages! Things are in a mess now. According to PKMN Veteran in the forums, it evolve in DP104, but it says it evolve into Mamoswine while FabuVinny said Piloswine. Who are we going to trust? By the way, when will DP106 be unprotected?-Billy4b2004 10:48, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Well if we trust PKMN Veteran, There's a high chance Vabu-Vinny may kill us, So we stick with what F-V said. (P.S. It can't evolve into a Mammoswine in one click) --Force Fire talk 10:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Even for those who haven't seen DP104 yet, we know from the summary of next week's episode that it is still Piloswine then anyway. It's just the opening that has already switched to Mamoswine. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 11:08, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
They'll probably change it into a piloswine in the next episode or so.--Force Fire talk 11:10, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Or they'll simply keep it unchanged.-Billy4b2004 11:12, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
PKMN Veteran does refer to it as a Piloswine in his DP105 summary. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 11:14, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I still think it should be protected, updated with new information but again there's evidence that it's going to evolve again. The mistake in the opening. --Dman dustin 11:17, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I hope not, Then we have to edit all this junk again. Just wait 'till DP106 airs (Which is next week) --Force Fire talk 11:20, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Image

Mind if I change the image to this:

Image:Dawn's Piloswine.jpg

It's in jpg tho...--Force Fire talk 11:05, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

I think it's OK, but we should keep the img of it as a Swinub at the same time. - unsigned comment from Billy4b2004 (talkcontribs)
Yeah me too, But You guys can change it if you want--Force Fire talk 11:08, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that picture isn't of Dawn's Piloswine so no, wait until we have a screenshot from this week's episodes. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 11:09, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
That's just a photoshop edit made by Serebii. --ケンジガール 11:13, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

WE should be protected this again for DP106

becasue in the next episode 106 Dawn's Piloswine has learn ancient power which mean that it may evolve again but maybe not this episode.Lindsayoris15 11:22, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Where do you learn that Piloswine will learn AncientPower in DP106?-Billy4b2004 11:23, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

IN DP 106 preview.Lindsayoris15 11:24, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Wait 'till someone confirms this, maybe in 4 days time for a preview, But wait till next week for the episode. If theres a sign of Piloswine evolving in the preview, then we protect. --Force Fire talk 11:25, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
The Opening also made a mistake and put Mamoswine, and I don't think we protect simply when a Pokemon is glowing, but when there's evidence towards it. The opening and the ancient power in DP 106 thanks to the preview of it seems like good evidence that it's evolving again. --Dman dustin 11:28, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
Learning doesn't mean evolving, Bonsly evolve in the next ep after learning Mimic.-Billy4b2004 11:30, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
And Aipom and Yanma evolved in the same episode as the move they learned that helps them evolve. I know Bonsly evolved in the next episode after learning mimic. I think it's better to be safe than sorry. --Dman dustin 11:34, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
On the counter side, James's Mime Jr. already knows Mimic and still has yet to evolve into Mr. Mime. For all we know, this might be the episode Mime Jr. finally evolves. --Shiningpikablu252 16:15, 4 December 2008 (UTC)
But maybe he gave Mime Jr. an everstone... JS 02:30, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
If Jr. evolves and leaves he'll have room for a Snover on Route 216. TTEchidna 02:36, 5 December 2008 (UTC)
James already has room for a Snover, if he gets one (I personally think Ash'll get Snover, sometime after Grotle's gone--if the Grass starter were meant to be Ash's signature for the fourth generation, they wouldn't have given him Chimchar in the first place unless he was to also get a Piplup--if Ash doesn't opt for a Tangela instead around Mt. Coronet). Even if we assumed James only has room for three, he's not full up (right now, his slots are Mime Jr., Carnivine, and empty; I have doubts that Cacnea's returning). And there's no guarantee that James'll get rid of Mr. Mime after it finishes evolving. --Shiningpikablu252 03:20, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

well for one thing the preview is already there. second piloswine didnt use ancient power. i think your thinking of ice shardHappizelpom 03:28, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

No, it is Ancientpower, it looks EXACTLY the same as when Yanmega uses it. --HoennMaster 03:34, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Not to mention Ice Shard was used earlier in the preview and looks different than the attack used at the end of the preview. --Dman dustin 04:57, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Why should we protect it if the anime itself has already confirmed it will shortly be Mamoswine in the opening? --Zeta 05:04, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Because some Noob might speculate it, I mean, It probably won't evolve. --Force Fire talk 05:07, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
But if the opening already has Mamoswine, that means it WILL evolve. And very shortly. So shortly they didn't even feel the need to put Piloswine in the opening. --Zeta 08:35, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Before I comment further, how often around here are pages sporadically moved by people that think a Pokémon is going to evolve? And when was the last time this happened and was wrong? (serious questions; I have no idea). — THE TROM — 08:42, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Actually, no one has done anything like this in a long time. The pages are only protected in case something like this happen (which I seriously doubt). Jmath 09:27, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Then why bother protecting if the precedent was years (possibly figurative years) ago? After all, this is just speculation. If someone does it before it's official, just chuck them a warning and move it back. If they persist, then follow up using standard anti-vandal protocol. It makes sense. — THE TROM — 09:18, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Possibly saves them the work of doing all this. Anyway, protecting pages like this gets really annoying, since you can't fix anything on the page until the protection expires. Jmath 09:27, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Which is probably necessary seeing as it just got half a rewrite. Admins reading this, don't protect plz. Just let it run its course and we'll see if anyone tries to make a stuffup. — THE TROM — 09:32, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
The opening can merely mean to be an error. A Pokémon site also have a magmar image with the name Magmortar, it could be the same for Piloswine. For all we know, not all the Pokémon who have learn the move required for evolution will evolve. Mime Jr. didn't evolve after the battle in the chingling ep so we can only assume that cases are different to every Pokémon. -Billy4b2004 15:33, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
There's a big difference between a fansite mislabeling a Pokemon and THE ANIME PUTTING THE WRONG POKEMON IN AN OPENING. In fact, I'd say that doubting the opening is itself speculation. And foolish speculation at that. I'm pretty sure the anime you know, pays people for that not to happen and have been doing this for 10 years to make sure mistakes like that don't happen. Silly me. I thought we agreed on the forums that reliable sources would be just as good to confirm evolutions as the episode's airing? And what more reliable source can you get than the freaking anime itself?! --Zeta 18:04, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
That's not a fansite, that is jetix! And I doubt that they are that lazy. If they are lazy, why didn't they keep it as a Swinub and change it to Mamoswine directly when it evolve? If they are lazy, why do they do it so early! They wouldn't do it until the last minute if they are lazy. I mean, why bother doing it so early if it is to be done later. This surely is a mistake! Why would they spoil the evolution? Can you give me any reason for this?-Billy4b2004 10:51, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

It will evolve, that is fairly obvious. Also, I re-watced the preview and Piloswine uses both Ice Shard and Ancientpower in it. --HoennMaster 16:10, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

But it has not evolved yet. Just wait, guys, until next week and we'll see if it does or not (although it sure seems likely that it will, but that doesn't mean we move the page now or protect it so it doesn't get moved. Like I said above, use this to establish a new precedent about moving pages; like Jmath said, the move-revert war hasn't happened for yonks). — THE TROM — 19:51, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
It should be protected. And Jessie and James have room for 6 each, I thought. Take Grating Spaces, for instance. Jessie had Seviper, Dustox, Wobbuffet, and Charizard, and James had Cacnea, Mime Jr., and Aggron. More than six altogether, I believe. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 15:58, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Disobedience?

Is it showing any signs of disobedience like Serebii said it would? --ケンジガール 03:39, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Not yet, but the summary said they started in DP106. Although it does look like it will be that bad. At the beginning of DP105 Piloswine was quite affectionate with Dawn. --HoennMaster 03:45, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Tusks

Piloswine's tusk size is consistent with that of a female. Should we put that in the infobox, or should we wait until it evolves to see Mamoswine's tusk size? These two have gender differences, although if it's anything like Ash's Staravia, some admin is going to say 'no' because no character officially said it -_- ~RR~ 21:54, 7 December 2008 (UTC)
