I want to thank Jmath for the info about Lucian's Bronzong battling Cynthia's Garchomp. →User:Thomas1652

Should we keep Garchomp with the other Elite Four's Pokémon. I mean Cynthia is the champion, not one of the Elite 4. JmathTalk 14:17, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

I believe that it should be listed as a member of the Elite Four's Pokémon. I mean, the Red Gyarados is listed as one, because it belongs to Lance, a former Champion. → User:Thomas1652

It's pretty much the Elite 5 so champions count for the category. --FabuVinny T-C-S 00:08, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
The better question: What about, say, Koga? If we count Lance as Champion, we count Koga as E4. TTEchidna 00:42, 5 November 2007 (UTC)

Dig

Wene did it use Dig? Cerberus

You remember the battle with Garchomp vs Chimchar, when Paul had it. It was used then when Chimchar used dig. You know the battle between Paul and Cynthia. - unsigned comment from Chomi (talkcontribs)

Moves

Anyone see that Her Garchomp has the same moves as the game , except not earthquake? PokeContest Fan 03:44, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

I saw. I figured earthquake was left out for the same reason the episode with wiscatch using earthquake was cancelled, i.e. may have caused controversy amongst members of the japanese audience and so it was replaced by another ground type move. TheAlmightyChris 16:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah I figured that too.By the way Wikipedia says her Garchomp is shiny is this true.Since shiny Garchomps have lighter skin and Garchomp's skin is pretty dark. User:Agent008
When compared to in-game shiny Garchomps, Cynthia's does look shiny. However, this may just be Garchomp's anime colouring. -- Umbee 18:42, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Gender

How do we know it's female? Porygon-man 22:20, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

There isn't a groove in its back fin. If it were male, it would have a groove in the fin. --ケンジガール 23:13, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Not all of the Pokémon follow the game, although it could be possible since its trainer is female. tc26 07:02, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, I figure since it was a Pokémon that debuted in GenIV than its okay. I mean, we do it for all of the other GenIV Pokémon belonging to the main characters with gender differences. --ケンジガール 07:05, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Moves used

Why is 'moves used' a level 2 header? I thought it only applies to moves used by the Pokémon in the anime. If it applies to the Pokémon in all media, shouldn't Flamethrower and Earthquake be on there too? — Laoris (Blah) 05:42, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

You're right, it should have been a level 3 header, since it's only for anime moves. (when in doubt, check it against something like Ash's Pikachu.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:44, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Well, I checked Paul's Torterra and Ash's Grotle, and they both had level 2 headers, which is why I was confused. — Laoris (Blah) 05:49, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
I think they probably need updating as well, then. The header contains a list of moves the Pokémon used in the anime, so I can only assume it's meant for that purpose only. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:50, 11 January 2009 (UTC)
Nevermind, those are like that because they're only in the anime. There's no reason to split those into "in the anime / in the games" sections. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:52, 11 January 2009 (UTC)

Overworld Sprite

Can someone please upload the overworld sprite? I think Cynthia's Garchomp is one of the only Pokemon Pages not to have it --Burgundy 23:16, 10 August 2010 (UTC)

Garchomp defeated in "Aiding the Enemy!"?

From the article:

"Garchomp also briefly appeared in Aiding the Enemy! where she battled against Aaron's Drapion on television. Whilst the winner of that bout is unclear, because Cynthia's Gastrodon was her final Pokémon against Aaron, it is clear that one of his Pokémon succeeded in defeating Garchomp."

I'm missing where in the episode is it stated that Gastrodon was her last Pokémon or even that Garchomp was ever defeated. The commentator even says during the Gastrodon-Beautifly matchup that "Cynthia dominates the action" and "is there anybody Cynthia can't take down?"

Then how was it suddenly that close? --Det (talk) 06:35, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Outrage

Okay so, my edit regarding Outrage included with other moves was reverted on this page. Yet, when I created this page back in the day and excluded Electro Ball from other moves, it was added back with them. This inconsistency needs to be dealt with.

(TBF, there's so much inconsistency among pages; this is just one of the examples.) Harryghost (talk) 14:34, 5 December 2021 (UTC)

The point is that we need to have an image of the Pokémon using the move to put in the infobox. Without this, the link ends up being broken. That's why we can't put Outrage in the main moves box. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:47, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
You can add the information for Outrage without adding a picture. They are not connected like that.--Rahl (talk) 15:45, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
The section is called moves used not moves it knows. Can't use a move it failed to execute it. Also am not aware of any other examples other than Ash's Charizard, other articles I could find were simply noting dubbing errors.--ForceFire 07:57, 6 December 2021 (UTC)

Error

I just want to point out that the Sticker Template image from BDSP shows Garchomp with a chipped fin, indicating a male. Should it be pointed out in the trivia? UxieLover1994 (talk) 11:59, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
