Chase (& カケル) originally random default names in HGSS
Did anyone notice or remember that the name Chase, prior to being assigned to the LGPE male protagonist, was originally a random default name for Ethan in HGSS? Also, his Japanese name カケル was another random default name for Ethan in the same games (the name that, when translated to English, mapped to Dion). Name origin
"Chase" coming from "Pikachu" is a huuuuge stretch imo. They share two letters. Same case with Elaine, which shares one letter.
I'd be inclined to believe so if Chase started with a P, but it doesn't. I think that this piece of etymology should be removed. --Celadonkey (talk) 22:05, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Counterpart's manga Pokémon
I've noticed that someone got lazy and copy/pasted information from Pidgey's listing to Mankey's listing and then made some slight changes. Because the information is now conflicting. It starts with saying that both Pidgey and Mankey is Chase's second known Pokémon. And then it ends with "None of Pidgey's moves are known." for both of them. I don't know anything about this manga but I'm fairly certain that one of those two listings/descriptions is inaccurate/wrong.
