I mean, C'MOOON, we had enough of Ash having the girl character player (i.e. May, Dawn, Serena, hell, even LYRA at some stage) as the companion of that speficic story arc season whatever. With the exception of no Anime apperence of B/W and B2/W2's main characters (not even B/W's player characters never appear in animated form!! The latter did via animated trailer, though.), and Leaf (sorry), NONE, I MEAN ''NONE'' of the male player characters appear as a main character with Ash in the anime. (Except Ash, because he's Red obiviously) Only one (Ethan/Gold) gets a main apperence in Chronicles, but the ones from R/S/E and D/P/Pt only get a cameo! We need a boy from the main games, not just a freaking male GYM LEADER, or even worse, A FRIGGING SKETCH ARTIST!! (i'm looking at you, Tracey.) I might be too harsh to the female audience, but can we have someone like Valerie or that roller-blade girl replace Serena and have Calem replace Clemont? They could've replaced Bonnie with Trevor or something...BUT WHY?! Sorry for your inconvience, but I hate it when the main male characters from the main games get left out in the anime.
