Return

How do you know Brock's Croagunk uses Return? Where did you get this information?- unsigned comment from Happizelpom (talkcontribs)

YES I'm asking the same question.Pokemaniac102 06:00, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

I was wondering that also. Cerberus

That attack it used against Paul's Torterra couldn't have been Brick Break. When I saw the episode on Youtube, someone translated it as Return.JmathTalk 18:47, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Yea, it wasn't Return, it was Brick Break. I'm taking it off the list. --Theryguy512 21:13, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Female

I think Croagunk is a female since it always jabs Brock when he flirts with a girl I suggest it might be jealous Livinlarge18 03:19, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Unless Max is gay, there's no way to prove that. So far, Brock has had three "draggers"--Misty, Max, and Croagunk. As far as I'm concerned, that's not evidence supporting Croagunk's gender either way. --Shiningpikablu252 03:49, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
Max gay LMFAO but since Croagunk's bandages are lower than a males then she's a female Livinlarge18 22:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Hey, it's entirely possible that Max is gay. It's never been 100% confirmed that he's straight.
Anyway, the bandages are no indication of gender. The bandage isn't in a giveaway position, and given how the anime's motion works, unless there's a verbal confirmation ala Aipom (first in either AG182 or DP039, depending on language) odds are we may never know Croagunk's gender until--or if--it evolves. (Toxicroak has a clear gender difference.) --Shiningpikablu252 22:44, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
As much as I'd like to keep an open minded view, I think there actually has been some proof that Max was interested in girls. Like Vivi Winstrate of the Winstrate family. He seemed to have a crush on her. --ケンジガール 07:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

In today's episode, the stripes on Brock's Croagunk were at the same height as Nurse Joy's obviously female Croagunk. This pretty much confirms it, as the Anime's been going by gender differences. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 19:14, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Not really. Nurse Joy's Croagunk had low bandages like a male Croagunk. This is just too hard to determine. --ケンジガール 20:10, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

But it would seem a little weird for a male Croagunk to wear a pink bow on its head. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 22:43, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Well it probably is female. The animators just forgot about this one. If it is a female than that would make Brock's Croagunk a lesbian because Brock had plans for his Croagunk to marry Nurse Joy's so he had a reason to get with Nurse Joy. --ケンジガール 23:00, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
Agreed!--Taviource 23:04, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Remember, in one episode, Meowth had to censor himself because it was a kids' show. A kids' show would not have bisexuality, etc. So why would Croagunk/Charizard be a lesbian?--KukiTalk 23:16, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Harley is gay. Your point doesn't hold. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 23:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
There are some people who will deny that Harley's a homosexual to the ends of the earth. --ケンジガール 01:16, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Well it probably is female. The animators just forgot about this one. If it is a female than that would make Brock's Croagunk a lesbian because Brock had plans for his Croagunk to marry Nurse Joy's so he had a reason to get with Nurse Joy. OR, Brock might not have bothered to check the gender of his own Croagunk. I'm Missingno. Master, and I approve this message. 10:41, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Pokémon is all about becomings friends with, and understanding your Pokémon. So it doesn't make much sense that Brock wouldn't even know the gender of his own Pokémon. The argument of Coagunk having a crush on Brock doesn't hold water when you think about the fact that both Misty and Max have separated Brock from pretty girls in the past. So Croagunk's attacking Brock is no more an indication than the ear pulling was. Trainer-c 12:55, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
But if they're such good 'friends' with their Pokemon to know their gender, how come they never use definitive pronouns? Why do they always refer to their Pokemon as 'it' as if they do not know? If they did know, why would they in the first place? (From experience, I have NEVER seen anyone refer to an animal as an 'it' if the gender is known and they know the animal long enough.) I still do not think that Brock's marriage fantasy is enough to confirm it, because as far as I know, Croagunk didn't show signs of interest towards Joy's Croagunk. - Deoxys Ribonuke 00:52, 15 February 2009 (EST)

Gender

Where in the anime, was it confirmed Male Flaremaster 15:59, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

I would like to ask the same thing. Deoxys Ribonuke 00:32, 25 June 2008 (EST)

Apparently, "the belly stripes are enough proof." --Martonimos((Argh|Blargh))
No that's not it. It's because Brock fantasized about Croagunk marrying Nurse Joy's Croagunk in DP082. His Croagunk was in a tuxedo and Joy's was in a wedding dress. Apparently a fantasy sequence is enough basis to confirm a gender. --ケンジガール 01:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
Actually I believe it's both of those together. - Cassius335 12:15, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Defeat count

Do we really need the list of times Croagunk has been defeated? We don't have it for any other characters pokémon. Why is croagunk so special? Yes its powerful but so is Buizel and Pikachu. They don't have a list of things that have defeated them. can anyone give me a reason why this should stay? TheAlmightyChris 16:56, 4 October 2008 (UTC)

Because Croagunk has had the least defeats. All other Pokémon have had several defeats. That's why. --PsychicRider 16:58, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
Actually Happiny has had the least defeats. So can we remove this yet? TheAlmightyChris 10:56, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

Male?

When was its gender confirmed? 0° 02:08, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

*points up* ~ overgrownsol 02:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
How does a fantasy scene confirm a gender? 0° 02:11, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
By showing the respective genders of the Pokémon involved in the fantasy. Brock has more than enough sense to fantasize over his own Pokémon's correct gender. — THE TROM — 02:47, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

Supposed Evolution?

In the trailer for the Galactic Arc there was one scene that interested me. It showed Croagunk using Brick Break on...something. Then there was a Croagunk looking Pokemon enveloped in the evolution light, then of a Toxicroak with white sparks coming off it. However, I'm not sure. Here's the link to the Trailer and the supposed evolution scene is from 2:23 - 2:26. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JgbQPSz0DwM Rossymore 19:53, 22 October 2009 (GMT)

Saturn has a Toxicroak...and he's in the episode...put two and two together. -Sketch 19:23, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Hrm...I'm still not sure. Unless Toxicroak knows something like Hidden Power. Guess I'll find out in November. Rossymore 13:38, 23 October 2009 (GMT)

Ability

How do we know that Croagunk has Anticipation? Just wondering.

sign you comments with 4 tildes please ~ < these things

and it was from DP043 where we can see croagunk sensing mismagius' prank...I'm not too sure how it works but I'm not in the anime department... (Ataro 11:23, 5 June 2010 (UTC))

Corkscrew Poison Jab?

Can someone explain to me how Croagunk turning its head then using Poison Jab is anything special? Or is the description missing something?--Black Yin Zekrom 19:45, 16 May 2011 (UTC)

Add new section?

I want to add a new section about Croagunk's personality. I don't know why...just for the fact that Croagunk is quite calm when getting hit by attacks (almost to the point where Croagunk seems unaffected). Also, I want to add Croagunk can scare Team Rocket, as seen in O'er the Rampardos We Watched!. But I don't really know if it's necessary...I just don't want me doing a lot of work, and then someone reverting the edit. --YoshisWorld 19:00, 17 July 2011 (UTC)YoshisWorld

No reply? I guess I'll have to make the personality section and see what happens...YoshisWorld 23:38, 27 July 2011 (UTC)YoshisWorld

Croagunk's gender

I don't mean to nag, but...I really don't see how Brock's marriage fantasy confirms Croagunk's gender. I mean, Misty once pictured Pikachu wearing a dress (in Suzy's debut episode, that is), and Giovanni is almost always shirtless in Meowth's boss fantasies. Besides, how do we know that his Croagunk was the one in the tuxedo, and Nurse Joy's in a dress? It could've easily been the other way around. GamerGeek 08:00, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
