Sorry for the wall of text! Just wanted to explain myself before someone assumes I'm just edit-warring for no reason, and to invite anyone who disagrees to actually explain why. EpicDeino (talk) 05:59, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

:My thought at the moment is that this should be easily resolved upon the release of Generation VII, but for now, let us see if we can do the best that we can.  The whole history part is a bit confusing which is likely why we are having this discussion, but I will focus on what I can assist with.
:Regarding trivia on moves, there is a history of having trivia on the Pokémon article for mistakes and other issues before.  To start with, the article on Vaporeon notes its inability to learn Mist in Yellow due to learning Haze at the same level.  Additionally, Seaking is noted on its article for apparently not having Supersonic as a starting move; it instead has a second Tail Whip for its third move.  Nosepass and Head Smash are mentioned for HeartGold and SoulSilver, if only because Nosepass is the only Pokémon in the Mineral Group that can learn it and only through breeding, thus it cannot learn it.  Speaking of Breeding, the articles for Bulbasaur, Smoochum, Oddish, and Snorlax have some trivia for either the move Charm or the move Lovely Kiss due to Generation II.  And concluding with part of Gen II, Staryu and Starmie can get Aurora Beam, Barrier, and Supersonic through breeding if you have Gold and Silver, just so long as the issue of Genderless Pokémon is ignored.  Thus, we have reached an end to trivia on species articles.
:So, I think that is what I can add to this, which hopefully is somewhat helpful somehow.--Super goku (talk) 07:03, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
